Benji referenced this specifically in the post game presser

https://twitter.com/NBWT__/status/1956976964641911117?t=eqmdwI4m0gQDmgZYCiCKfQ&s=19

Benji also said in the presser that Hemasi is currently at school doing his HSC, so I think it would be more likely next season.

Just on left/right sided players... from memory didn't Taylan May begin in first grade with Penrith on the right wing? I think he may well be versatile to make that shift... but maybe after an offseason.

Went to Lidcombe today unfortunately the only reason was to see Heamasi for the first time … what needs to happen is they get him away from that  side as quickly as possible. Again I have been lead around by the fan boys the talk of so many of these guys one would think there is real talent there , obviously some are young but what I saw was a team of midgets except Heamasi .
Payne needs to be punted as bringing in a good batch of players next season will be wasted with such a bad coach ! Watching those guys run around you could have thought you were watching a grade 3 times below reserve grade .Heamasi  needs to make his home at the COE and just be around 1st graders as playing in reserve grade with that quality of player and coach is doing him no good .. think he got the ball 4 times the entire game one of those for a try , that reserve grade side is seriously bad !

I saw the try on Facebook courtesy of Wests Tigers Faithful, looked like Stephen Crichton!

I was there as well. It was a nice try he scored.

Presuming May re-signs and everyone is fit, where does Makasini line-up in early 2026?

Skelton was good today. Maybe we should have picked Makasini at right centre 😂

We really need cover at right centre. Toa is either out or playing injured 70% of the season. I think May shifts to the right and Makasini goes to the left....then you have Toa as back up, I don't think his body can hold up for the whole season, so maybe it makes sense he comes in as cover. From what I have seen of him May could be just as effective on either side.

Other option is Makasini to left wing, Skelton to right wing (he has been playing there at some points this season) and Turuva to right centre.

May looks elite at left centre.

To’a, you would think, is a chance of not playing this weekend. Naden is in the shadows, but a sneaky Makasini debut on the wing wouldn’t surprise me. Most likely you’d put Skelton at right centre imo.

Has Skelton played much centre? It's such a difficult defensive position and with his penchant to rush up out of the line, it could be costly... although I agree it seems unlikely that To'a plays.

You’d think if he was named he’d play tbh…. Ducks and drakes from Marshall you’d think 🤷‍♂️

@teddy_s I would say it could be Benji keeping the Makasini debut out of the news and also not letting Raiders plan too much against him.

I can’t see To’a playing this week. Would be a tough game for Masi to debut in but if he’s ready, he’s ready. If May can’t move to right centre (& be just a good as he is on the left) how about Turuva to right centre & Masi to left wing? That’s a whole lot of power to start our sets. Not sure how Turuva would handle centre defensively but thought he’d be better than Skelton.
