Injuries not good that’s the big story of the day could be a disaster!

My one word is Turnstile, describing our right side defence but not much better elsewhere either. Tevana and Toa were diabolical.

Hard to make a comeback without the ball. Still when we did have it we made mistakes, turning it over almost every time.

Conceding 50 puts us out of contention for this year's premiership. Patch up our injured and start again.

To’a, get the hook out.

Shredder?

Done like a dinner. NSW Cup for him.

7 tries down that side.

Perfect storm in some way with 4 newish faces: Sukkar first game, Madden has played LHS mostly, Toa second game back, Tavana first game back (and 3rd game overall).

But even considering that, some embarrassing efforts by Tavana and Toa in particular. Neither should be in FG for while.

THUD. The sound of us falling back to earth and reality. Injuries and mistakes too much to overcome. Sharks played extremely well too.

But it's a setback, not the end of our season. Disappointed to see some fans throwing the towel in so soon.

Benji needs to own some of that. Through necessity we had to remove 2 of our best and most reliable players, but he chose to go with 2nd game rookie instead of Skelton.

@tigerstu

Lots of scar tissue. Hopefully it’s an aberration.

My one word is ‘overreact’, as in, let’s not overreact because of one game. Our issues I think are relatively easy to spot.

Sione had an uncharacteristically bad game. He will be better next week.

Hope tried hard but the gulf in class between him and Api is glaring. Harry will have a field day next week if Hope has to play 80 again. Maybe Latu can plug a hole for 2 weeks.

Tino made a couple of courageous takes after his errors but was clearly rattled. It didn’t help that he had a useless To’a on his inside. I would nurse Tino back to confidence in Cup and put To’a through the shredder. Depending on fitness, let’s have Skelton and Maka/Herbert on the right next week.

Obviously any team missing 3 of its main weapons in Api, Adam and Bula is going to struggle, and being without KPP also dangerously exposed our right side. If I’m critical of Benji about anything it would be giving Seyfarth the final bench spot instead of Latu.

We may be seriously up against it in Melbourne next week but in the long term, with our best players on the park, we are still a top 8 side IMO.

@mac_tiger Yeah I get that. I've got plenty of trauma too. But have a look at what we've done this year so far and look at how much adversity we had this week and today. It's really disappointing, but we're still a good team this year and we'll bounce back.

My word is "weird".Let's face it; its a a weird NRL season. It was probably weird that WT were as high as they were; albeit well deserved based on effort and coherence. The effort was there today, just not the coherence, which probably reflects a lack of genuine depth and the need for someone like Luai to lead, steer the team around and minimise the defeat. He disappointed in that regard, again. Maybe today was a weird result? I hope so.

Early one word comment

have to go back to work but…

’Curse’ may well and truly be still alive for finals

be back later with hopefully egg on my face

well my face is very clean … extremely clean. That performance in the 2nd half was ‘DIABOLICAL’ and that’s my revised word.

I thought our left edge defence was actually really good considering the amount of possession the Sharks had. Makes it all the more galling that we got absolutely towelled up on the other side.
