Yep, although i thought that happened 2 weeks ago with the 68-0 disgrace v the Panthers. One word: Thud. That's us crashing back down to reality
Another ladder improvement in 2026 (hell, maybe even top 8!!) seemed inevitable after the first 7 rounds. Now, I think there's every chance it could be 13th again (as in 2025), or lower. Thankfully SGI are even worse than WT so they have the wooden spoon wrapped up .... I think???
And, of course, the injury toll has had an impact, but it does for every club, every season. WT 2026 weren't able to adapt and adjust due to lack of genuine depth in the ranks it seems.
Two injuries on the right edge, but they were struggling even before that. They stripped us for numbers down that side for three tries, and could have had a couple more.
Two of the others were down to some weak, fatigued tackle attempts from Terrell. The guy is a machine but 80 mins is too much for a middle in today's game.
That was pretty much the difference in the game.
Thought we battled well, but some execution at crucial times really let us down. Two big reshuffles didn't help either - the drop off from Jock to Mason was massive.
Good to see Latu get a full game (bar the HIA break) in the halves for NSW cup. Typical that we finally drop him back for mins and Jock goes down within 20 mins. Incredible that we didn't even get a penalty for that btw.

The Panthers game was us free falling and the main chute failed to open
The Titans game we managed to deploy the reserve chute and slow us down.
The Dolphins game we hit reality hard, not terminal but definitely with a thud.
