Next Man Up mindset definitely shows in the effort which I cant fault but has its limits with execution.
Team held Dragons to 12 so its hard to blame the Defense.
Any of Laurie, Simpkins, Ken, AD, Roberts, would have made a big difference to Attack.
World champions of making half chances and not taking them..
My word ....Disappointing
Hastings and Brooks especially created enough chances to win they were unable to capitalise..
Gildart had some good moments and some shocking ones..
In all honesty given the injuries Gildardt wouldn't be in the side.. Madge Showed his hand weeks ago.. Maumalo back it's back to NSW Cup for him..

Agreed. Our attack fell to bits as soon as Madden came on. In the presser Madge was all excited about having "the four of them" on the field at once. For mine there are barely two of them first grade quality and having more on the field is not helping.
Personally if Madden cant do the job at 9, he doesnt make the 17 for mine.

IMO Brooks was best on ground by a fair way today. Hastings crashed to earth as a mere mortal (still was good and of course by being there helps Brooks). Really need another option for when Liddle or Simpkins needs that 10min break.
That was definitely the game that got away. First 20 was good, but then just lacked the killer instinct imo. Our halves created enough but our 1 and 9 were poor. Really think we should have left Toa in the centres, played Nofoaluma at 1. Peachey has to play next week, probably at 3 and I think Brooks should play 9 and Simpkin 14.

Actually 13 is his spot. Lock would see him go at another level. He is wasted at 9 and agree we lose a lot with him there. But we are short on troops. Hopefully Jake back this week.

Actually 13 is his spot. Lock would see him go at another level. He is wasted at 9 and agree we lose a lot with him there. But we are short on troops. Hopefully Jake back this week.
Playing hom at 13 does nothing to help the fact we are short on troops. I don't think he would have enough impact in the middle to play 13.

@garry IDK either, but Madden on the bench offers very little. Partner him with Hastings and have Simpkin come off the bench for Brooks. He plays for 20-25 mins. Times up with Liddle, he’s done my head in and I’m a fan.
