I would like to have Simpkin in there somewhere, but Rua can also play lock - allowing AD to cover an injury in the backs.
Um and ahhed with AD at 13 or centre, but at 13 he has a licence to roam and ballplay - especially giving us to 6s either side with Hastings to play on the ball.
We aren't really improving on this year's team except at hooker - as 2nd row probably a straight swap.
I haven't included any new signing, but I'd be chasing a hard running forward that can bend the line.

We are still missing someone who can change a game with pure speed or power. You can compete with defence for a while but eventually everyone will burn out. We need that player when the team is physically shot that just can turn something out of nothing and get us back in the game. Apart from perhaps Brook's there isnt a single player in our team capable of that. My 2023 team for round 1.
