Well I must be one of the only person that has not been swept up in the Galvin pile on ! The kid shows plenty of promise that’s for sure but the kid is 6 three and a bean shoot and not overly fast now the future growth is coming . The talk of a ten year deal is crazy I think his future is definitely in the fowards . I think the Tigers have no chance of him signing a new contract this season , he will get away with 5/8 in 2025 but IMO the real change will be in 2026 when the body fills out and he is not as fast , it will be interesting how things pan out as a potential club is going to have to decide where his position is which then dictates what his worth is and length of contract is … he is a talent sure but things could change very quickly as his body matures. Your born with the talent but the talent can be hamstrung by body development… I do not want the club going down the 10 contact path as I always thought they are ridiculous contracts !
I agree we should avoid the 10yr contract commitment and TBH I don't think he would be interested in it either. He could still play in the halves if he filled out or even lost a step of speed, however he would need to improve his kicking game and the physicality in his running game.
