Can the Wests Tigers finish the 2026 NRL season with a flurry? Well, next up is a Cowboys team that might just be ripe for the picking.

On this edition of the Wests Tigers Podcast, Joel and Nick are joined by Mitch for a look at all things Wests Tigers.

Things get started with Nick and Mitch giving us their take on the Tigers' memorable win over the Roosters, including some gloating by our own "Nostradamus", who picked the surprise result last week.

Some of the other talking points on this edition include:

Is the halfback position Jock Madden's to lose?
Should we give Javon Andrews and Latu Fainu more time to develop?
Fonua Pole plays his 100th NRL game this weekend; is he a lesson for not giving up on young players?
Josh Schuster makes his club debut in NSW Cup this weekend

And we preview the big game against the Cowboys in Townsville on Saturday night, including some pretty optimistic predictions.

As always, feel free to let us know your thoughts on all the latest Wests Tigers news and gossip on the Wests Tigers Podcast Forum.

We'll catch you again for hopefully a post-victory edition of the pod on Sunday night.

Of the 2 games left to play this is the one we have some sort of chance in. Cowboys games have often had huge scores or heartbreaking disappointment attached to them. However there are some positives that we take into this game, not the least of which is last week's victory and also Poles 100th game to celebrate and honour with a strong performance.

We haven't won at this ground yet so maybe we are due to rewrite that record too.

The 2027 halves dilemma is a tough one but may become clearer this week if Jock plays well and again v Penrith. Pre season is going to be a genuine shootout to see who grabs the 7 and Benji has shown this year with Makasini that a strong preseason can secure a start.

Still need to sign Samuela before November 1 as a priority.

I stand corrected. What a line up of names we had then. Only Doueihi and Twal still with us 5 years later. Perhaps we should have been a bit more patient with some of them as they have gone on to improve their game considerably.
