@tigertownsfs Just because you can not see it does not mean it’s not there … you would have be be foolish to think there are not undertones from elements off the old Balmain group one thinks ..just saying ,wasn’t there some dude from Balmain agitating not long ago !

im sure there still is a Balmain faction but the fact that they have no power other than appointing one WT board seat has really taken the heat out of their influence.

It has, but just imagine what happens if you remove Balmain from the family.
Wests Tigers Podcast - Talking everything Wests Tigers!
The heritage clubs being represented on the board is great. HBG having 2 seats (one via their dominance of Wests RLFC, one in their own right) is fair given they are majority owner. That said I would probably have preferred Wests Campbelltown retain their seat (given how important their juniors are) such that the 3 heritage entities have one seat. Then 4 independents
Well done WESTSTIGERS UNITE the spot light needs to be applied to all sections of this so called joint venture ,time to expose all these shadows lurking in the back ground . In the not to distant future the fan base can protest in front of the whole footballing public on the hills and grandstands at home games .. as I have said previously people power will prevail if these individuals think they can ride this out there in for a very big wake up call !
WESTSTIGERS UNITE
Wouldnt that be wonderful? Tigers fans protesting on the hill at LO.
Wont be a popular opinion around here, Ive been a lone voice here about the 'terms of reference" of the petition and now I am growing as equally or more concerned about the whole "terms of reference" of the WESTSTIGERS UNITE "movement.
What is it that WESTSTIGERS UNITE want or stand for? Originally (and the part I disagreed with) the movement was for the purpose of the petition which was "a comprehensive external review of the governance of the Holman Barnes Group and will be presented to the HBG, Liquor and Gaming NSW, and the NSW Minister for Liquor and Gaming". Well this purpose has been achieved and L&G NSW ARE investigating HBG (and were before the petition).
This sees WESTSTIGERS UNITE press releases morph into their release yesterday which stated that the purpose of WTU is "firstly, for the HBG to support and implement the full recommendations of a 2023 review into the Wests Tigers NRL club, and secondly, for the implementation of the review into the governance of the majority owners of the Wests Tigers, HBG."
I agree with the second purpose but it wasnt the original purpose as stated.
Now today WTU issue another press release warning Balmain that the WTU "will not tolerate division or turn a blind eye to evidence presented to it". .........or what?
Seriously, what is the terms of reference of WTU? Who sets the ToR? Joel? Garry? Rob Bechara? When is the WTU satisfied and who makes that decision? Todays WTU states that the common goal of WTU is a "unified and successful Wests Tigers". Are we going to protest on the hill and gates of LO if we lose games? Get another spoon? Will WTU activate for the sacking of Benji?
The stated purpose of WTU has been met and now it seems that the raison d'etre seems to be shifting to support its existence. Massive overreach IMO and as I stated at the start IMO it will be an ultimate negative unless conducted correctly.

We will continue to call out whatever we see fit. We are sick to death of these people holding Wests Tigers hostage because their heart is with a club that died in 1999.
Like anything, if you don’t agree or don’t support the actions then don’t get involved, it’s all good.

Which actions? What is the purpose of WTU again?
@Tiger5150 for someone who doesn’t support the current moves and petition you certainly have a lot to say about it.

Sorry Mike, should I just shut up and let the adults speak?
Alternatively, I care about the Wests Tigers (and this forum for that matter) as much as anyone else on this forum or anyone that signed the petition and have concerns about the terms of reference of the petition and the action behind it. That is the reason I have a lot to say about it.
Maybe Nick could change the title of this thread to Wests Tigers Unite - for approved Wests Tigers fans
But ill leave it to you.

Noted. Only consenting opinions welcome.
See you all at Leichhardt.
I welcome @Tiger5150 views and think it's important that different views are respected on this forum
And share many of them myself - on the grounds of governance and clear process
although I have signed the petition and support a level of community/fan pressure to push things along, as it is needed
Group think isn't a good thing - it's what many have accused the debenture group of doing
Top 8 2023
My question is what is the bar where the WT Unite team think it's acceptable to accept and lay down arms?
The L&G have already opened an investigation into HBG - tick
If HBG appoint independent directors (which they have said is coming shortly) and they would also need to complete constitutional change to carry that through -
Is that the point of acceptance?
If not, what else do you need to see? (Ie review audit?)
And the next question should be, is it worth the future disruption to the club if the overall media interest and public division has impact on WT as a club - be it CEO, future signings, resignings, general perceptions etc

I have no issue with @tiger5150 position on this and actually understand it. I hate stirring up this drama at the club, it actually makes me feel sick.
5150 has every right to his opinion on this matter and I don't think he has done anything wrong in how he has expressed it.
