I have been in a few seminars with Dan the bloke is walking inspiration. Literally one of the best learning experiences I have been involved with. Works around positive and growth  mindset.

Also not sure why people are annoyed at a leadership group nearly every top level sporting team has it we aren't inventing the wheel here.

Interesting he has no qualifications in this area, only a Bachelor of Arts. So basically he’s a BS artist.

Why default immediately to a negative assumption? He is obviously well regarded. The Growth Mindset work by Carol Dweck is based on comprehensive sound research and evidence based practice - look up her work in hundreds of American school communities and sporting organisations. Her work is world renowned.
This guy is not basing his work on his own research but is using established research none the less. Maybe you are right and he is a bs artist but maybe he is well researched, and can contextually apply this research to people he id working with. Maybe he is exceptional at that. Maybe he will make a positive difference

Because we are spending money on someone who has no sports psychological qualifications or even just psychological qualifications. Zero, zip, nada, nothing, none.

I’d rather we employed an actual sports psychologist. Instead we are clutching at straws hoping for a miracle cure.

I, as well as most teachers have used Carol Dweck's work in the classroom for a number of years.

In memory of Geoff Chisholm (1965-2022)

After having a day to think on it -

I am supportive of the 5 captain approach.

We don't have one stand out captain with AD out.

We have a young and quiet team

Making 5 players captain - give them all permission to stand up and take ownership of the team. Which can only be a good thing.

Roosters have 3 captains plus 3 emerging leaders - not a blink.

We do it and our fans and media are up in arms. Let's see how we go before making judgement

IMO if AD was available Rd 1, none of this 5 captain stuff happens (would still have the leadership group).

I agree with that

It's such a shame AD is out.
