Brooks is our 6 for next year and contracted for 2023
If so we mustn't be very keen on winning because he's hopeless.
and still our best option.
In your opinion. And I think you’re in the minority.
I can form my own opinions and never follow the herd.
To answer the question that you asked Jedi, Brooks is faster by a long way (matters particularly with that sweep move that they have adopted with Hastings), better defender in the middle, Douiehi has not shown any short kicking game at all, AD's long/bomb kicking game is on a par with Brooks (not great), AD has a good long pass but no short passing game that he has shown and what is worse, and IMO the biggest problem with AD @ 6, he doesnt have a footy brain needed at 6. To be specific he has shown repeatedly (IMO) that he does not know when to pass, when to go long/short. AD has shown no evidence that he knows how to set up his 2RF or centre. Brooks passing game is very hit and miss, but still better than AD's.
AD has a better long pass, strong (but slow) running game, better spiral bomb (when he has the confidence to let it rip). IMO Brooks is better at everything else at 6 (and has still been poor).
All of the deficiencies of AD you mentioned are still better than Brooks. Brooks has no long or short kicking game. His passing game is non existent. His running game used to be good but now he doesn’t know when to run or pass because he isn’t an intelligent footballer.
further to that, AD had played less than a full season in the position, Brooks has had almost 200 games. Let’s give AD a season or two to develop and then cast our dispersions. Most of your criticisms (many of which I don’t agree with) come from lack of experience.
the key point is AD is completely untapped, but still more effective (imo) in the 6 than brooks.
To be honest, I would rather play AD at centre and then look for a better 6. We do however have this period we have left this season to give AD a go at 6 and I believe we will see that after this weekend.
I can’t see any good reason why this is not being done this weekend.

An ACL injury is a very tough injury to come back from, I have no problem with them taking it slowly with him. An extra week in the centres where the workload is less isn't going to be a problem.

Yeah I can see the reasoning there but he played most of the game last weekend and I reckon he’d be ok to play the full 80 but I’m happy to bow to the clubs assessment on this if that’s the reason he's not starting at six.
However I believe the real reason is that the club are terrified of dropping Brooks to reserve grade probably because of the media circus which would ensue.
L...who is next week ...ohh thats right LL
Won't win another game this season ...but at least we will set another record ...most losses in consecutive games ....wooden spoon ...WOW ...what a season

People seem to think doing an ACL makes you somehow weakened - I became way stronger and faster after my reco than before. Given modern, professional rehab I don't see bringing him back slowly as necessary but I understand their caution. I'm sure he would have passed muscle and strength KPIs to be allowed to play again.
Just as an FYI for those who haven't been through it. According to my surgeon, once the surgery is completed the knee is as stable as it's going to get - the lengthy delay is for the bone graft to knit and to build the supporting musculature. He said I was far more likely to injure my 'good' knee than to re-injure the reconstructed one. Of course all this must be considered against the quality of your surgeon (and I'm confident I had one of the best).
Having said all that, I think centre is good for him because it will require less aggressive changes of direction and as a big body there will always be heavy loads on his joints - regardless of his orthopaedic history. The main reason though is because he's a far better centre than 6.
Wests Tigers star Adam Doueihi has dropped a selection bombshell by asking interim coach Brett Kimmorley to pick him in NSW Cup if he won’t select the gun ball-player in his preferred position of five-eighth.
Doueihi, the Wests Tigers best player last season, has been selected in the centres this week as the Tigers continue to search for the club’s first win since Kimmorley took over leading into round 14. Fox Sports has been told by Tigers insiders that Doueihi contacted Kimmorley on Tuesday to ask the question about playing five-eighth in the NSW Cup after the coach selected him in the centres.
Tigers head of football Tim Sheens then smoothed over the potential standoff as the club searches for answers to try to snap a four-match losing streak
if that is true then see ya Adam go play 6 with Uncle Wayne
Maybe next Nofoaluma might demand to play fullback
or
Luke Garner demand to play centre
Douhie is not a team player
@jedi-tiger Seems like everyone knows that Brooks isn't our best 5/8 but the club has incredible difficulty taking action.
@earlwood-tiger imagine Papenhuyzen telling Bellamy I want to play 6 Bellamy would say you play where i tell you.
We have won more games with Douhie at centre than 6
@jedi-tiger Imagine the media going to Storm headquarters and looking for a story like this, it just wouldn't happen. The media either invents this stuff from scratch or someone at the club is giving out a lot of bogus information.
AD will be gone if he is making that demand
In memory of Geoff Chisholm (1965-2022)
@earlwood-tiger someone at the club would have leaked that. At least it is believable unlike we will drop Brooks on a bye week. If that was also the case then it would have happened this week.
Wow, the good news just keeps comin’
lunatics are running the asylum at Concord
you couldn't make this stuff up
