Those Boot Camp videos with indications of Luai and Bula leading the way and showing total buy in would be extremely welcome to see.

Also interesting to see Sunday Telegraph predicting Makasini as potentially Rookie of the Year.

Which opens the debate around how much first grade he plays. If he wins his place I’m in on him playing from round 2.

I hope makasini gets the nod over skelton on the wing to start with

Pretty sure Masi will be playing plenty NRL this year but whatever happens I don’t think the club has had such good depth in the outside backs for a while. Patrick Herbert looks to be doing well in training, Masi, Taylan, Star are all options for centre. Jeral, Tito, Luke Laulilii, who is looking stronger, as well as Masi can all play wing. Wil Craig, Tino Tavana and perhaps Max Taotua could also push for a debut at some point if they can continue to improve.

Good to see Latu out on the training paddock in the latest Wests Tigers video.

Do we know what the pink bib means?

Telegraph reporting Douhei has been training at halfback alongside Luai. I think this gives us a clearer indication of Benji's intent for 2026. Latu for a long term 13 perhaps?

latu fainu signed until end of 2027, i think if he plays 13 in 26 or 27 he will be gone in 28 he is a 6 or 7 and clubs will pay him for that tou would think.

Douhie needs to play 13 as we have fainu and Andrews who  can play in halves. Can see AD moving to 13 in attack

Best case scenario I reckon

Latu runs straight, but I don’t think he’s robust enough for the forwards.

Where do you think he can play if Douhei stays at 7?

Will have to be utility I’d say, but I hope he manages to nab a halves spot.

Doesn’t it mean Latu is unlikely to be available for R2, hence Adam training at hb?

I feel if they're training with AD at half, thats the most likely outcome for the season. Unless he doesn't play well the first 6-10 rounds, then Latu would potentially get a shot. But it seems to me that AD won't be the long term 13 option because of this.

And where does Jock fit into all this? 2nd back up?

Benji has said that Latu is a first grader. His body has also shown that he’s not up to regular NRL. It’s in his best interests to be able to develop his body and play regular football and that is probably at a combination of 14 and NSW Cup. Douhie is experienced and whilst he is not a complete half he does have some things that are valuable such as being a natural right side player and he has a massive boot and variation vs Luai’s left hand side play and a good short kicking game. For the important first half of the season Luai/Douhie is the best option
