There’s still a month to go but it was a little surprising. Today, Mav Geyer played some middle for the NRL v this week’s trial guys. I think they’re probably looking at Mav as someone who can cover both edge & middle, just didn’t see him on the edge today but no surprise given Samuela & KPP there. Taylan & Jahream looked very good. Jahream is in for a huge year I think, such a good mover, stepping & passing looks great. Taylan very skillful, great in D and hard to handle. The full preseason has done him the world of good.They had an opposed session yesterday, black (1st string side) v orange shirts. Wyatt Raymond was the official for the session. Star & Taylan centres, Tito & Luke wingers. Jeral has a minor issue of some kind and didn’t take part although was there in orange shirt. Masi in orange shirt too (2nd string side). Patty Herbert & Masi at centre for orange shirts, Madden & Latu halves. Kit was playing a lot of that 1st receiver role in the orange shirt. Sione also in orange. Terrell, Bunty, Twal, Fonua, Royce & Seyfarth middles in black shirts.
Luke impressed with a few good reads in D and Jahream posed greatest threat to defence. AD sometimes moving to left with Jarome to create extra man etc. Still a month to go but starting look ok. But as Tim Grant told me “They all look good in training”.
Thanks for this update. I would have thought Sione has more to offer as a black shirt than Seyfarth but for some reason Benji has him penciled in every week.
Didn’t know where to put this but just served Liam Fulton up here on the Goldie. He’s up here for his Dads birthday.

Could be. Certainly big enough but might be a year or two away. Doing very well in the trials at 6. I’ve been super impressed with Javon. Reminds me a little of Cody Walker.
The other guy that has fallen a touch off the radar is Ethan Roberts, high hopes for him.

I thought he went really well. I didn’t realise he was so tall and lanky (like his dad), my thought was he was a bit more compact.

It would be great to have Royce Hunt and Bunty each play 20+ games each for us this year.
It’s been so long since we have had props that can really dent an opposing defence.
