TBH I’d take sheens over everyone on offer now.

i would prefer Morris with mentorship from Sheens.

THis would be my preference but as long as they truly give the reins to Morris. Let him be his own man and coach his own style. IMO Sheens should be looking after pathways and ensuring a conveyor belt of quality kids for the next 10 years.

“ and has the ability not to listen to any outside noise. And that’s Tim,” Stuart said.

Maybe the battery in Tim's hearing aid is flat.

This isn't just a step back in time, it's a decade - Stuart, Daley and Meninga are just bowing down to their old coach. It's astonishing to me this could even remotely be considered a good idea.

Sheens would suffocate him and in a couple of years we'd be back where we are now.

I don't think that would be the case.

I'm hoping we don't need to find out.

I don’t believe mentorship’s work at all.

Someone needs to have ultimate accountability and needs to be empowered to make the decisions

if we want Morris as a coach then give him the job without Sheens lurking in the background second guessing his decisions with none of the accountability.

No question you are right about this, but when you see it all happen at once, so obviously orchestrated I worry who is calling the shots. Is this Sheens/Tigers preparing the path or media creating stories?

I think Morris is the best option by a long way.

I think if Morris was available and willing he would have been signed by now. IMO Sheens and the Tigers are working out how to go forward with no quality options.

Every leader needs good Mentorship, especially young ones. The question is whether Sheens and Morris have the relationship to make it work, but a young coach should definitely have someone mentoring them.

I think just by nature of the set-up, anyone that comes is going to have some level of input from Sheens.

That is always going to happen if you have a Director of Football, that is part of the idea for the position.

Yeah that’s great as long as the coach, Morris in this case has ultimate power to make decisions even if Sheens doesn’t necessarily agree with them. As a DOF he can provide input as I’m sure he is doing with Kimmorley but he must allow the coach freedom to make decisions he will ultimately be held accountable for.

Otherwise Morris is just an assistant coach and if that’s what he is then we need to be clear that accountability sits with Sheens.

I also doubt Morris would be interested in being an assistant coach, he’s looking for a head coach role.

Based on the team picked against Bulldogs, Im not sure that Sheens isnt doing more than "providing input".

Who said it would be anything different?
