I think it is a team that will suit his coaching style.

I think you or I should be able to coach that team to success. From the outside in it looks like it needs a man manager to control and focus some of the egos. They would win a premiership with Bennet, is Madge that man manager?

If Walters upset the precious Broncos players you can only imagine how they’ll respond to Madge unless they hit the ground running.

Year 1 will be an improvement as they all get on board. Year 2 & 3 they will be over it.
I think it will be a disaster.Madge at Broncos will be an interesting watch.

my best mate works with Walsh's brother .. lol I can't wait to see how Walsh and madge go together
Just received members update for coaches for 25 .. this club is the eternal losing organisation mediocrity is that entrenched they themselves can not see it . How does that reserve grade coach get another year and the big three assistants no words could describe how poor a coaching roster it is ! I just can not see how this club digs itself out of the bottom of the ladder with this losing mentality, thought things would change after the review how wrong was that !I must say Richo is leaving much to be desired at present .
@snake Yeh, I tend to agree with your comments. WT keep going with the "feel good" coaching appointments - Hodgson being the latest former player to get a gig. They've just picked up a third consecutive wooden spoon, with another embarrassing points differential, yet Marshall, Morris and Heighington keep their jobs, with Hodgson (old-boy) to replace Farah (old-boy) in some type of strategic appointment? Really? It's just more of the same from where I sit, when something more fresh, daring, and hope inspiring is needed.
This will be an unpopular opinion I'm sure, but I forgive Ivan Cleary.
Just read this article in which Ivan details the mental health issues he was having before, during and after coaching us, being on antidepression medication, having trouble getting out of bed etc.
The bloke is human, and humans go through stuff and it effects their lives. Of course he felt a calling to finish at Penrith, of course he wanted to coach his son, of course you wouldnt let your son come to the basket case that was the Tigers at the time compared to Penrith.
I actually feel a bit glad that he has had the success to be honest.
Well,I too can just about forgive him, but not completely. His admission that he did the wrong thing, means I will stop burning his effigy, but I still hate him. (do you think I have a problem)?
I read the article too, but I'm yet not ready to go that far 5150!
I hate how it happened and that they are so successful but I have never gotten the full hatred.
He wanted to coach his son. That is an extraordinary thing to do and now they have won 4 GFs in a row so hard to argue that it was a bad decision.
I also find it hard to hate the Panthers. They are a club that always brings juniors through and provides a lot to the game in an area of Western Sydney that needs it. They aren't like the Roosters who never produce anything for the game, have questionable recruitment tactics but are somehow supposed to be admired by the fans.
I can't wait to read his book. WT should buy 20 copies and circulate amongst the staff. We could learn alot from him and Penrith in general.
But he walked out without acknowledging the fans at all. It was a gutless act.
Maybe we could just sign him as a coach and then we won't need to read his book. Oh yeah we did that but he did a runner.
