@helmesy second row mate . It’s been stated by the club already that he’s moving to the back row . I don’t know why guys keep talking about him at centre .
I believe Talau is a strong chance to claim back the right centre starting position in ‘23. Has big wraps from Benji and Sheens. Wouldnt want to risk his knee close to the action in the back row.
It appears he might start 2023 in the centres but I think the club see him transitioning into the backrow at some stage.
We are short in the centres and stacked in the back row so it makes sense
Is this your mail @helmesy? Because it’s in direct contrast with reports, releases, interviews etc.
I thought he was the direct replacement for Garner.

I believe Talau will have first crack at the 2nd Centre position.

I have that feeling as well but concerned about his (lack of) pace. Happy to be proven wrong. Im not as worried as some here about our centres. I think Naden is a very good centre and I thikn we can manufacture a decent right centre out of TT, Asu, AD (dare I say).
Talau would be the perfect bench player can cover 2nd row and centre if needed

Talau is not a super fast outside back but he is not that slow (try line to try line). I am most worried about his lateral speed and how that impacts on his defence. He has been caught arm grabbing and sitting on his heels in the past.
I am hoping that has improved.
I'm very fond of TT
I'll be cherring him on this year and have a strong feeling he can cement the starting centre spot.
Top 8 2023

has he every played 2nd row? I’d give a few games in reserve grade to learn the position before handing him that bench role
