So we finally have an experienced metre eating middle after years without one, and we're set to give him up that easily?
Geez I hope not.
I rate Galvin, have watched him a fair bit, but Latu Fainu will have a shot at NRL before him. There is also Large coming through, don't think it's the tragedy some are calling it.
I don’t see the rush to get Luai here for next year.
I see the rush, we cant just keep floundering waiting for another year, but I dont see the need to sell the farm. Losing Klemmer without a massive replacement would be a big mistake and Galvin looks to be something for the future (not sure half).
Having said that, firstly Im pretty sure its just rubbish media talk, but if its real and Penrith have made that offer, its probably an indication that Luai's shoulder is worse than expected and they would like us to look after his rehab.

I don’t know anything about Galvin but I know our forward pack would be seriously weakened if Klemmer left. He was our only middle who made consistently good metres week in and week out.
@tiger5150 I think losing Klemmer would mean we are floundering again as we will have no go forward

I think we are in agreement in that we cant lose Klemmer for next year.
I'd be happy to lose Klemmer and Galvin for Laui
And it opens a spot for a damaging forward I.e AFB
We have a wooden spoon roster, need to aim for club changing players, that set us up for success now. Not next year

don't think we should give up Galvin
hopefully he can get a run at centre or 13 this year
2025 maybe Sullivan gets moved on and we end up with Luai 7 Fainu 6
if it meant moving klemmer on this year and possibly simpkin to Eels and we can gain AFB for 2025 then yes. Starting props Stef and AFB
I would even be prepared to move on Ice to warriors for AFB for 2024

Maybe the thought is Pole moving up front and then this opens up a spot for Matamua, Laulili or Faagatu

Theres no way Galvin is physically ready for NRL in 2024. He is 2 years away. Fainu has played against men in NSW Cup, Galvin hasn't played Flegg yet.
