Hooper had none to start withHooper is a hack and calling JP a Paddle Pop lion shows how low brow that jerk is. There is no way Fulton would complain about extending the best hooker in the game and it's been explained that it's his job to get the players that the coaches want.
As soon as a journalist resorts to name calling, they lose all credibility.

TIGERS SIGNING WARS EXPOSE CLUB’S MISSMANAGEMENT
YOU’VE got to admire Wests Tigers captain Api Koroisau making a return five weeks after suffering a broken jaw to try and help the club avoid a second straight wooden spoon.
Koroisau, 30, has consistently been the Tigers best player all season with his guile and deception out of dummy-half providing the rest of the team with a far superior platform to play off.
In a rare smart play from the Tigers, the club has now extended Koroisau’s contract until the end of 2026 in a bid to provide some much-needed stability to the playing roster.
The only problem? Wests Tigers new head of recruitment Scott Fulton knew nothing about Koroisau being given an additional year on his contract.
Instead it was Tigers CEO Justin Pascoe and soon-to-be head coach Marshall who did the deal.
This is the same CEO who decided it was a good idea to sign Fulton as head of recruitment without consulting Tim Sheens or Marshall a couple of months back.
That’s gone well so far.
And even though Fulton is against signing UK Super League halfback Aidan Sezer from Leeds, Marshall’s agent Matt Desira has now been sent a one-year contract for the ex-Raiders grand final halfback from 2019 to join the Tigers next season.
Is it any wonder the Tigers are all over the shop with management like this?
We keep going back to the late, great Jack Gibson line. Winning starts Monday and winning starts in the front office.
Paddle pop lion CEO Pascoe’s next job should be building a new trophy cabinet to house the back-to-back wooden spoons the Tigers have collected in 2022-23.

He can put it next to the barber shop at the Concord-based club’s Centre of Excellence. In fairness it’s been a Centre of Mediocrity to date.
Spare us the dribble about how well Pascoe’s got the club going on a commercial level. The NRL grant now gifts every club $5 million each year.
So the 17 NRL clubs all start $5 million in the black. By the time you throw in sponsorships and memberships it’s almost impossible to run at a loss.
By the way, Hooper calls himself a NRL journalist? The NRL grants over $17M each year. Moron.
I think he means once the salary cap has been spent.

Ah...my bad, that makes sense.
I've noticed that Jimmy Smith has a bit of an axe to grind with WT also. Don't really understand that? On the flip side, he's very tight with Canterbury and Scott Woodward.
For example, today's he slams WT 'why is it always WT player meetings that end up in the paper?' yet last week Blake Taaffe's meeting with Gould was in the paper too.
If Tigers end up with Fainu, Sullivan and Sezer to play in the halves we still need a fourth halves player IMO. Fainu should be playing at least 10 NSW Cup games to start next year. Conversely, Sezer and Sullivan have a few marks against their name for prior injury history.

Jimmy smith is mates with some of the Magpies board
Unless young bozo wanted to sign the other Fonua brother! Nothing would surprise me with this rabble tbh. Jailbird brother did push Api out at Manly when he was there.TIGERS SIGNING WARS EXPOSE CLUB’S MISSMANAGEMENT

That is exactly how it should work. fulton shouldnt be the final arbiter of who we sign, the coach should be, so that article pretty much says that things are working exactly as they should be. I actually find that article reassuring tbh and it doesnt say that Fulton didntwant Api to extend. Of course he would have.
I think people need to be careful with the knee jerk reaction anything that starts will Wests Tigers management. This article is good news.
@loganr21 seems as though Scott Fulton is so close to Tartak he is trying to distance himself from any Tigers signings that are not from the Tartak stable.
Joel Caine made some good comments about Jayden Sullivan yesterday on SEN. He suggested that Sullivan doesnt appear to be the best trainer and I think the photos taken yesterday at Tigers HQ support that.
Im happy to see Sullivan signed but only if it sees us taken on the Dragons contract until its expiry. If we add more years to it we're crazy.
Caine also said "i have it on good authority that Tigers have offered a multi year contract to another reserve grade half' but wouldn't name them. Any ideas?

I have heard it is Dean Hawkins from souths
Do you have any info on Dean Hawkins
best position half or 5/8 etc

Definitely halfback.
He is an Adam Reynolds type half. Good kicking game, sqaures the opposition defense up well creating room on the edges.
He is the type who could get an opportunity with the right 5/8 and fullback and never look back. Also, he could simply stay a back up class half.
Very different type of halfback to Sullivan.
Thank you sounds like the player we need after Sezer retires
Great that he is an organising half and different than Sullivan - maybe good competition if we get them all
I’m excited to see Api and Sezer together. Two guys who know how to play basic modern football
