Good interview with Hastings on SEN this morning, the Brooks haters won't like it.
He was pretty clear Brooks would be 6 against Parramatta and no mention of Madden and his role in the team, he spoke about using Brooks on short sides with his pace and that Brooks would do fair bit of kicking
Interesting interview the guy is pretty honest how he was not in captains group ahead of Ken M good grief
Someone on our other forum saying Brooks to Knights on again.
Swap with Klemmer being mentioned.
who knows?
I would take that. We need an experienced leader up front.
Agree, Klemmer for Brooks 👍
Word is Klemmers knees are almost fried ......no thanks
It would be a no thanks for me too. We can't keep signing players that are on the wrong side of their career. Klemmer likely is another Mautalino.

We struggle to score as it is ...giving out whatever tactics we may have isn't ideal ...damn stupid actually
Luch apparently asking for an immediate release. Can't see anything happening until Pascoe is back from his Contiki tour.

Anyone got access to the story? What are they offering in return?
Wests Tigers Podcast - Talking everything Wests Tigers!
The North Queensland Cowboys have attempted to capitalise on the Wests Tigers’s dysfunction by requesting an early release for Luciano Leilua.
Leilua signed a three-year, $2 million deal with the Cowboys for 2023.
According to the Courier Mail, the Cowboys reached out to the Tigers to see if they would let Leilua head north early but the request was knocked back.
It’s not the first time the Cowboys have attempted to secure Leilua ahead of time.
The Townsville club was prepared to take him a year early, bumping the deal up to $2.8 million over four years only for the Tigers to block the move.

Not much in for us other than freeing up some salary cap space?

How dare he ask for a release twice now

We could use the money saved to contribute to Brooks exit package which I think would make sense.
GREAT SCOTT AS DOLPHINS AND BRONCOS SQUARE OFF
THE Dolphins and Broncos could find themselves locked in a derby battle for the signature of Cowboys playmaker Scott Drinkwater.
Sport Confidential understands three NRL clubs, the Dolphins, Broncos and Wests Tigers, are keeping a close eye on Drinkwater as he faces a fight for regular NRL action in North Queensland.
Drinkwater started the season in Queensland’s Hostplus Cup, with Cowboys coach Todd Payten opting for a halves pairing of Tom Dearden and Chad Townsend. Drinkwater returned to the top grade last week after an injury to Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow, scoring a try in the Cowboys’ narrow loss to the Warriors.
But when ‘The Hammer’ returns, Drinkwater faces relegation to reserve grade. The Broncos, Dolphins and Tigers rate Drinkwater’s playmaking ability and have indicated preliminary interest to his management.
The Cowboys have told Drinkwater’s management they have no interest in releasing the 24-year-old, who is contracted until the end of 2023. But Drinkwater naturally has no interest in languishing in the Hostplus Cup for an extended period.
don't release Lucy to then move Brooks on
go for some salary cap space and maybe drink water
drinkwater a better fullback than laurie

Moving on Brooks is critical at this stage imo. If we can use whatever Lucy is earning to offset some of Brooks payments it would be worth doing.
Drinkwater? I don’t get it. Sure he is serviceable at 6 or 1 but does he change the team? Is top 8 in either of these positions? I don’t think so. We don’t need more “serviceable” players in our spine. Our next 6 or 1 has to be top shelf
