Anthony Milford has become available ...desperate times call for big risks ??
That would be desperate but at this stage... He's like Benji. On his day, he's a great but on his down days he's poor (like most players I guess). I'm thinking no.
I must say it normally takes longer in the season for the frustration of fans (and team) get to me. It's not easy trying to be the voice of reason.
The other forum repelled me because it was hard to read some of the points of view (I had nearly 30 people blocked) and I thought the admins lost their way. Originally I felt the level of discussion here was higher but after the loss on the weekend I can see emotion just blinds people to reason and demonstrable fact.
That's cool, everyone's entitled to an opinion, but I'm a logical pragmatist so I find emotional and unfounded arguments, well, illogical. Hopefully the boys can jag a win to change the tone.
I think most of the reaction to Sunday's loss as been fairly timid considering where we are sitting, running dead last after a 10 year finals drought has a lot of people worked up. While I don't always agree with their opinions or reasoning I can see why people are feeling the way that they do. The frustration just accumulates, I am not a very emotional viewer of football but I am feeling myself fraying at the edges this season.

Welcome here VoR. I agree with you that IMO the level of discussion is higher here than the old forum, but lets also keep this place as a place where its possible for people to have very different opinions and be able to express them without it becoming personal.

That is the exact aim of this place, play the ball not the man is really what we are trying to achieve.

I think milford would be a good signing can play fullback

I still haven't given up on Laurie, but would only be offering him a contract similar to what he is on now.

@garry I think that's all clubs would offer him, the guys attitude is poor lacks concentration and commitment
I know Lodge is a goose but we could use him
we also need to sign Euan Aitken at second row or centre asap
out of curiosity what do we think Milford is worth ?

I think last years exploited tainted a few people's opinion on Laurie, I spoke to him after the jersey incident and he seemed to get that he messed up. I think he has been poor to start this season but think that is a symptom of how we are playing atm.
Lodge is the type of impact middle forward that we need, I'd prefer someone with their head screwed on right though.

@voiceofreason I like that you are here to balance things out.
I think what gets people’s goat is the club likes to show outwardly that everything is great and doesn’t acknowledge any problems/weaknesses.
Then the coach says he doesn’t feel we’ve gone backwards on the back of eight straight losses and just 3 wins from 16 games.
We, as moderators, will make sure things are properly policed here and that we will be a place for all reasonable Wests Tigers discussion.
