Love Munster as a player, but Im not sure he is the type of player that is going to turn us around. Good individual player, not necessarily going to improve those around him. I agree but to make my point Nathan Cleary would be the type of player that would turn things around because he makes things happen for the players around him whereas Munster makes things happen for himself. Munster would be great but I guess my point is its going to take at least $1M to get someone like that and if we are paying that sort of money, it needs to be someone who will change the team and culture.

IMO we do need those positions strengthened but whilst our spine is useless, so will be our team. Laurie isnt cutting it, we need a Reece Walsh or similar. Brooks & Madden arent going to do it and for mine the jury is out on AD & Hastings in the halves, we need a Cleary, DCE, Reynolds type. Hopefully Api fixes the 9 but its short term (Rua after that).

Yeah I get what you are saying. Cleary is very good no doubt but he is surrounded by a great team. If he came to us I’m fairly confident he’d struggle to be the player he is presently. If he came and dragged 2 others with him - then we are away I reckon.
