Hynes was another Walker type who everyone said no to, and then there’s basically next to nothing .Sexton and Boyd were considered generational at the titans , not sure if that’s true .

Normally I would say yes if it was any other player, but their fascination with Brooks has me scared he is stayingWhilst not ideal, it would be a massive upgrade on our current pair, and any combination moving forward should not include Brooks, lets hope Fulton puts an end to this fascination with Brooks at the clubCould the Schuster stuff be happening in the background ?

And people like Anasta a few weeks ago saying it was all but guaranteed .We release a middle , which we haven’t been any stronger at any point in our whole history IMO. Frees up a lot of money …. Just speculating ….Something's happening for sure. This has all happened since Fulton came on board so it would make sense. I hope so. I think Johnson/Schuster playing behind this pack could be potent.

I don’t think there is a fascination anymore with Brooks. That is clear by a public chase of Munster, Moses, Pearce and Johnson. Problem is none of them have chosen to come and Brooks may well be the only choice left.
Based on the above, re-signing him on a reduced deal isn’t the end of the world as our salary cap position probably still allows us to sign an expensive gun half at some stage if we can. Worst case Brooks is one of our starting halves next year, best case he becomes the reserve half on a reduced contract. The Joe O move this week shows you can move a player on if you do somewhere become more stacked in a position.
Given the knock backs and Douehi out next year we probably have to offer Brooks a short term deal, unless Fulton can pull a rabbit out of his hat.

No nothing to do with his 200th. I have nothing against Brooks at all. He's always put in 100% and has represented the club well off the field. But the club has been bad for him and he's been bad for the club. It's a toxic relationship that needs to end.

not many options out there though most have said no. Club is trying to sign him for a deal they are comfortable with and keep in the lookout for a 6 or 7 partner.
Brooks is super fortunate AD is injured otherwise he may well have been moved on but that is not the case. In Brooks you have a guy who doesn't want to particularly leave sydney or go to u.k. so I guess from his perspective he is in no rush.
It is not just Sheens making decisions benji would tick it off too and so would Fulton who has only been here 3 weeks.
I think some fans were calm about it when they thought because nothing was happening (e.g. not in the DT SMH or foxsports) he would be shown the door.
I don't think they woke up this morning and have decided to sign Brooks I think this has been in the background a few weeks just not played out in the media.

think but don't know for sure we are paying 300k of a supposed 600k salary fir 2024 and parramatta paying all 600k of 2025 salary
