To the point with Stafford that I remember reading that the fans for the lions were off him , because a lot of his numbers came in garbage time (sound familiar) when the stakes didn’t matter because they were getting hammered .And they’d point to his high interception rate as proof .

The fact that Sheens said we’d know more about his future after round 6 (Easter) and that has gone quite gives me the impression we have gone in another direction. Warriors have him on an incredible deal, only 450k. I think we could easily offer him a 2 year deal with a club option for 3rd year. Warriors can’t offer him that given the halves they have coming through that are ready for NRL. This would be a great move for the club I think and provides a great opportunity to take time selecting the longer term 7 from all the promising juniors.
I'd be happy with two years of SJ given the dearth of other options out there. Gives us time to find our next long term half, as there doesn't appear to be one in the system at present.
