@cloudyglock if I’m not mistaken, Moses has a player option that expires after round 10? Are we saying Isaac Moses has got McDonnell fired because he didn’t get the deal for Mitchell that he wanted and that Fulton can give the Board the deal to agree to?
Moses player option is for significantly less than the Tigers or Eels deal for 2024. Moses will not be taking up the player option.
So he’s a free agent ….
has been for 6 months
issue apparently is the 800k contract for Schuster tigers don't want to pay that much of it . Also think if dogs release Kyle flannagan to Manly that will increase a Schuster mid season move.
I would hope that that is a major issue for the Tigers
@tiger5150 $800k would make him our second highest paid player? He certainly wouldn’t be our 2nd best. Id take our whole starting pack ahead of him, and Bula and Tupou. Probably Naden too.

agreed. I’d put his value to the team at about the same as Doueihi but I have a horrible feeling that AD is getting overs as well
@tiger5150 if we can get him with Manly tipping in 350k, the twould be 450k on the cap that is a good deal imo
just wondering due to Douihie's injury would the club be allowed to pay out his 2024 salary in 2023 and have the money spare to use in 2024 cap ?
I have the impression Lee is using his chairmanship as a vessel to raise his own personal profile. It seems like he’s effectively gained de facto ownership of an NRL club through his major sponsorship. Considering the shenanigans and struggles of the Wests Tigers board over the years, control of the organisation was there for the taking, and like an ambitious politician Lee swooped. The way he paraded the seven jersey last year in front of the Leichhardt faithful was like a scene from The Godfather, surely an old team mate of Tommy’s or player he coached, like Skando, would have been more appropriate.
On the surface Fulton will add much needed Rugby League IQ to the organisation, he’s certainly got runs on the board with all that talent from Western Sydney in the Manly system, I like the idea of a guy with this pedigree and standing in the game joining the club. But I do think they should have informed Sheens and Benji. Lee said Fulton is an addition to the staff, and no one loses their job - funny, I thought Benji was in charge of the top 30 roster, so is it Fulton or Benji with the final say? No one may lose their job but the appointment of Fulton will change the dynamics of roles and responsibilities. Best case scenario is Benji and Fulton develop a good working relationship, but what happens if they don’t.
My confidence in Lee and Pascoe is diminishing by the day, and one could be forgiven for thinking there’s an absence of critical-thinking and attention-to-detail. Personally I like Fulton joining the club, and hopefully the outcome is a positive one, but once again I’m concerned with the process around the decision making at the top and the people making them.
Plenty of fodder for the Podcast with the appointment of Fulton, you could do a week long pod on this topic alone, good luck dissecting and making sense of this one guys.

Very good summary of the situation and I agree.
Don't like this Schuster talk at all. Even if you ignore all the attitude and commitment stuff, he's just not a fit for what we need. We already have two 6s with various issues - we don't need another.
Heard some interesting information from a bloke that knows Scott Fulton pretty well.
Apparently we are not only after Schuster but Tolu Koula (centre for manly) him and Fulton have a good relationship and Fulton is pretty confident we can get Koula despite Rugby Australia advances

Koula is seriously fast.
That would be a good pick up, we just need a 7 thenHeard some interesting information from a bloke that knows Scott Fulton pretty well.

Koula is outstanding.
Koula is signed to end of 2024 with Manly but the thinking is if Koula wants to come over and Manly want to get rid of Schuster then something will be brokered with tigers perhaps we have to pay more of Schuster's salary to get Koula released ?
Absolutely no mail at all on any of the salary etc of Schuster or Koula
