There’s also the chance he sorts himself out and plays great football elsewhere (we’ve experienced this before). I’m not privy to the conversations but I’m sure we wouldn’t be interested if his attitude is poor.

With our history, do we seem like the place that he is going to sort himself out?

I can see him hitting rock bottom with us and then developing into a generational talent for the Storm or Roosters after we cut him loose in year 1 of a 4 year contract, with us chipping in 70%.

I’d take Schuster, he’s class.

That was a big discussion on the pod, I wouldn't take him.

Not Taking Schuster either, We have other Team priorities.

A young #7 needs to be P1 for when Brooks calls time

@enumerator Agree with you that a No. 7 is a higher priority. I hope Scott Fulton asks his best mate Tartak about Jayden Sullivan.

But what scares me is our coach quite likes him 😕

Things are not great at Manly at the moment – and it all centres around Josh Schuster. And the way it's going, it would not surprise to see the out-of-favour five-eighth donning another club's colours before his contract is up.

Schuster is already skating on thin ice after failing to match the standards – both in form and attitude - expected of an NRL footballer. He is currently in footballing limbo, left out of the Manly side tortured by the man who was let go – Kieran Foran – to accommodate him at five-eighth.

The next day, two stories emerged that poured further doubt on Schuster's future at Brookvale. It was revealed the banished No.6 had a punch-up with NSW Cup player Dean Matterson on Friday at Manly's final training session before their clash with the Titans.

At the same time the club was dealing with that spot fire, another story appeared announcing the Sea Eagles' recruitment boss Scott Fulton was switching camps to the Tigers. Schuster is extremely close to the Fulton family, with the late Bob Fulton declaring him the closest thing he'd seen to Wally Lewis.

Scott Fulton is also very close to Manly's Polynesian contingent, including gun back-rower Haumole Olakau'atu. You don't have to be Einstein – or even Phil Gould – to work out where we're going with this.

I hope not, but I agree it will happen if we like it or not. To much noise about him at the moment.

I think it will probably happen as well. They want Talau, Benji wants Schuster and I think Manly are over Schuster.

Even putting aside what I think are blindingly obvious issues with his fitness and attitude, despite the fact that I think he looks like a talented footballer, I think he is not the type of player we need. He is not a specialist anything. He is not a specialist half, he is definitely not the organising half we need. He doesnt seem to want to move into the forwards which is exactly where he will end up.

Tigers have had a weird addiction to "utility" players that dont specialise in one position, Doueihi being our own boat anchor. I dont think we need another one. IMO Schuster will be Peachey 2.0.

Absolutely! We seem to love an Mbye/Peachey/Douhei. It rarely works out well. We need a definite halfback not a maybe 5/8

Massive risk. Only place i'd consider him is 13 but what's the point if we have Matamua coming through.
