But CNK isn't a passer. Staines can actually pass, he has ball played well in State Cup in the past. I think his passing game would improve significantly.

That's my point I don't think Staines is a passer either, he passes too hard, often too high and appears frantic when trying to ball play.

Β

I would have him at fullback at the moment, but would be using him as a ball runner only.

DT reporting Talau has signed with Manly, 2 year deal starting 2024. Hope he doesn’t play this weekend.

If true we should send him over now, or at least once Naden is back and fit.Β

I assume WT were waiting to see how he went this year before offering terms, given we'd already taken a massive punt on him for this year.Β

@dirty-reds deal is probably he can go to Manly after rhe plays us this weekend, that type of clause is pretty common. Not a huge loss not the best defender

If he's signed with manly and trying to get an early release, we should absolutely not involve him on Sunday.Β

Appears that way. Someone said he played ⅝ in pathways πŸ€”

It also may suggest that Sheens isn't sold on Wakeham, do you think??

Β

I think the fact that club was offering $1.4M pa to Moses, chasing Williams etc suggests Sheens isnt sold on Wakeham, Brooks or Doueihi, and rightly so.

@tiger5150 I think the sheenius is stubborn so he will give Brooks another year in the belief that he can turn it around.

the only thing that probably stops Brooks getting another WT contract is long term injury.

I think Sheens has painted himself into a corner and cant run the risk of not having any other half other than Wakeham for next year. IMO Wakeham is barely back up standard (and he isnt necessarily any worse than Brooks) and we must have two halves chosen above him. We barely have one now.

If Manly want Talau early we should see if Kaeo Weekes is available. He looks like he has ability.
