I’m not saying he was the worst I’m saying his best performance this year has been maybe 5/10. That is poor by anyone’s standards.
I will put the caveat on my Brooks comments of:
I felt we made the right call keeping him for this year. I backed the coaches on it 100% Brooks over Hastings. My opinions now are based solely on this year.

Brooks does stink, unfortunately however he will remain in the discussion for selection because it is going to boil to who stinks least out of him, AD, and possibly Laurie to partner Wakeham. Is there even a correct answer to that sort of question?

For me it’s not his price, it’s where do you want to play him in a top 8 team? He is a good defender and is very quick but he has zero footy IQ. He just doesn’t look like he even thinks at all about what he’s doing and his instincts stink so he takes the wrong option, makes the wrong pass etc. he has no short kicking game, isn’t a reliable goal kicker, only has end over end attacking kicks. He is not crafty enough to play at 9 (and we have a great hooked already), he’s too short to play in the outside backs. At a pinch, you play him at 6 outside a truly great 7 and he turns up every now and again and makes a good run. We desperately need a Reynolds or even a Chad townsand who has a brain and can execute on some sort of game plan. Maybe, and it’s only a maybe if you were paying him nothing you could play brooks but even then I’d hope for better. Just disgraceful coaching that we still play him as the dominant 7 for the 4th week in a row after the garbage he has turned in. It boggles the mind that we make the hard decision to put wakeham in and weaken the #1 and yet we play brooks as a dominant 7 (feed the scrum into the locks feet FFS!). Massive pressure on Benji/sheens and there are no easy options left. We are in a deep hole.
