@avocadoontoast mate you have to give this guy a go. Don’t death ride him. One of our best ever backrower was his stature. Ben Galea ring a bell?

I'm not death riding the guy at all, but my opinion is he's too small. I also think Kautoga is many classes above. It's a loss.

It's hardly surprising Kautoga is looking to move away from the Tigers.

The way the club managed his debut last year was absolutely horrendous

Any updates from Pom lately regarding Moses ?

As far as Moses goes apparently we have again increased our offer by a further 100k?

Hearing in relation to Brooks money is issue is still length of deal, Brooks wanting 3 years and club prepared to offer 2

Pom might be able to confirm something ?

Kikau helps Bulldogs snare promising forward from Tigers

The Wests Tigers are privately fuming over losing one of their brightest young stars to the Bulldogs.

Kitione Kautoga, who made his one and only NRL appearance for the Tigers against the Dragons in round 24 last year, is on his way to Belmore.

The Fijian forward, who scored three tries in NSW Cup in the opening round, was brought to the Tigers by former general manager Adam Hartigan. Hartigan is now at the Bulldogs working with Phil Gould.

The pair organised for Kautoga to meet with coach Cameron Ciraldo and his idol Viliame Kikau. It was enough to get him over the line.

The Tigers requested a $160,000 transfer fee from the Bulldogs to release him this year, but that doesn’t look like happening.

This is infuriating.

Brooks doesn't deserve to be resigned.

Mitch Moses wont come here based on the prosects of this club over the next few years.

I think our recruitment will be heavily impacted by the 2023 start

Could you imagine being an offered a contract to play for the Tigers at the moment. After last year and the first two rounds this year you’d have to say thanks but no thanks.

Bit of a shame, but we have Papali'i, Bateman & Blore ahead of him in FG, not to mention Kepaoa getting thrown into that rotation as well. Club has also seemingly rated Tumeth ahead of him.

Time will tell whether that's the right pick. I'd certainly go for Kautoga over Tumeth any day of the week, purely based on size.

Typical Sheens moves really, Tumeth- small mobile forward and AJ- wing/centre made to play in the second row.

Season is all but gone .

focus on development .

let Kautoga go. Only holding him because we are annoyed with ourselves for losing him.

Do a trade on Nofa or Laurie or medically retire Maumalo and that frees up a spot to upgrade and promote Bula to first grade.

put Laurie outside naden .  Staines to the bench. Tupou to the other wing.

Wakeham to 7. Brooks to 6. Douehi to center. If he doesn’t like it , wave bye bye . See how that goes for a month, that will tell you whether priority is a center wing or fullback .

buy a 7 as soon as possible .

keep an eye on feledy and give him a first grade experience as soon as Bula and Tupou have settled in.

Tupou is going to make defensive mistakes but really , we have no flow of speed on attack , there’s no cohesion and the defense is poor anyway. Put him on the same side as our best second row defender

100% Brooks doesn't deserve to be re-signed, he needs to be dropped, not extended

@tiger2win good points I would move Brooks to 6 and keep him there all year. That may mean promoting eakeham but go and buy Moses or Williams etc for 2024

As for Doueihi he either plays centre or can look elsewhere

Try and move on a player e.g  nofo or Maumalo so we can promote Bula and throw him in at fullback along with tupou on the wing

yep and possibly a 7 May turn up for this season. Brooks can’t play 7 , and we need to see what he can do at 6. For mine he is a keeper at 6 but we need to find out .
