I’m sure there is some loyalty there but this is his probably his last chance to cash in when it comes to his footy career. In 4 or 5 years time, if he decides to keep playing which is doubtful, he certainly will not be offered more than a one or two year deal for less than what’s been talked about now. He has to make the most of the circumstances now because it won’t happen again and his manager would know that. Thanks for the update.@jirskyr The comments from Parker are puzzling, but the club has been told of Moses intent to re-sign with the Eels. No other communication has been made outside of this.
I really think it’s time to move on. The guy and his management team just played us.
I don't think you are being "played" if you are in serious long-term negotiations with a player. Especially for Moses, he has a strong history with Tigers and I don't think people like Sheens or Benji are that gullible or new to the game that they can't tell if a player is serious or not.
The reality is it costs a lot of money to get a key player to leave their current club. If Parramatta could reasonable match our offer, we would always struggle.
Like I said before, I think it's Parramatta who has been played. Considering he's been there 6 years you'd think he'd have some level of loyalty to them, but he has dragged the negotiations on and on and extracted a huge financial price from them.
I think they’ll go well especially when Matamua has nailed down that lock role and I don’t think that’s far away. Would’ve preferred Moses just like you would but this is the next best option imo. I’m assuming Brooks stays.@garry time to sign a good FB and Centre for next yr. Cobbo and Farnsworth fit the bill.
So you would be playing Brooks and AD in the halves next year?
With the Moses negotiations, I don’t think any club got played. My take on it is that he was looking for the best the possible contract and was negotiating with a number of clubs. I think he would have come to us (highest bidder) but Parra seems to have increased their offer to something close to ours. The money difference now is not worth it for him to change clubs.
The Dolphins signed Herbie Farnsworth wow big signing for them ….

it’s taken them a while to land a star but he could open the door for a few more to come
Still no Eels announcement…just saying.

fascinating that Moses is still missing from the clubs video content.
And John Bateman has finally landed & toured our centre of excellence. Good to see 👏🐅
@helmesy yes why no Parra announcement yet ?
Michael Chammas who broke the story about MM staying with the Eels tends to back track a little in this podcast released yesterday

I was thinking it would be great for WT fans if the decision is not made for another few weeks.
- we'll get to see Brooks and AD play together
- we'll get to see Moses play
- we'll get to see other new WT players
We'll have so much more information available in a month. I don't have a strong opinion on MM joining WT but ask me again in 4 weeks and I think I will have more of a view. Why not hold off?

The song in that video - Let Me Down Easy 😆 how appropriate for the Eels and their fans.
