You might be right but I think the last season or two he played the Warriors had a pretty tough with Covid stopping them from playing at home. And his age is no barrier, Api is a little older yet seems to be playing great footy last few years. I doubt very much the club will target him anyway.RTS is 30 in June and didn't look the same player before he left for RU. It's all a bit diminishing returns on him imo so I'd rather we looked elsewhere.
Looking at our contracted for 2024 list we look a little thin for backs, no fullback there. Also we have Api, Jake & Rua in the list. Perhaps Da Silva might be development list next year but unsure if all 3 mentioned will be there. Wouldn’t surprise to see Jordan Miller get a top 30 gig though, he’d be physically able to handle it I’m sure.
@851 Sorry we’ll have to agree to disagree. In the team we were fielding last year I maintain he was on a virtual hiding to nothing. He had very little platform to build upon and ultimately suffered the season ending injury.Anyway we’ll discover which way Sheenius and staff are opting this coming Tuesday.I’m genuinely excited to see this team and my belief is that Daine will be first choice for the No.1 jersey.
It’s also interesting that it was Chris Faagutu who made the cameo appearance in the Warriors trial and not Miller. Whatever the case might be you’d think both will feature at some level next season, perhaps development or higher. Not sure what’s happened to Chris as I’ve attended past 2 Wests SG Ball games but he hasn’t played, anybody know why?Looking at our contracted for 2024 list we look a little thin for backs, no fullback there. Now the Moses drama is over its time to look at a FB and a centre.
For FB id look at Cobbo but would need to be a swap/release as hes signed for 2024.
in the centre id look at Farnsworth.
Could get both for what they offered Moses.

Fa'agutu physically more advanced, do you think?
One main problem for Miller is he's a prop and there is no avoiding the straight up/down body contact that props receive, compared to an edge forward. Miller seems to me physically very large but I think still a way to go in his hardness.
Compare for example to Stefano this year (who is 4 years older?) who is still working on his contact in the tackle, and other guys like Blore and AJ who have come along way physically in the past 12 months. Also how physically capable Fonua Pole has proven when given plenty of time to develop in reserves, despite being blooded during some bloodbaths in 2022.
That's why IP, Klemmer and Bateman are so important for us, not just the gameday experience but the ability to soak up physical pressure for 80 mins and 24 weeks.
Also why Aitasi James impressed me last weekend; I have barely seen anything of him and I understand he hasn't previously had the motor / concentration to be considered for first grade, but he was able to absorb so much contact last week and keep rumbling forwards. Granted it wasn't against Raiders first-choice forwards, but for example that Trey Mooney is well-regarded and he was completely overshadowed by the Tigers' prospects.
Wonder how all the egos in the Eels are going to get along? Gutho first squeezing the club for overs, then Dylan Brown being signed on a massive deal. Then Moses who I don’t think would want to settle for being no. 2 squeezing them for an even bigger salary. Jealousy and inflated egos going to see them self implode at some stage?? Matterson is a grub with his entitled attitude, as well.

Very strong post mate.

@888 don't think parra has quiet as many egos as Newcastle, Ponga, Ponga's Dad, Gagai, Hastings and O'Brien

Probably right Jedi, but none of them have taken a big dump on us like Moses did in the last couple of days by playing us, so just venting on the Slimeys at the moment. 😤
No deal: Morgan Harper hoses down rumours of a Parramatta player swap with Nathan Brown

He missed one as he played in NZ, and then the other as he had a bit of a shoulder issue from the warriors trial. He's been named to play this week.
I see Faagutu is playing in the Wests SG Ball team this week so will be interesting to see how they go up against a Raiders team undefeated too. I’d think both Miller & Faagutu will play Flegg later this year and possibly a State Cup game or two.\It’s also interesting that it was Chris Faagutu who made the cameo appearance in the Warriors trial and not Miller. @jirskyr I think props as a general rule arnt physically up to it until they’re around 21 ,22 . Even then guys like stef , still need to wait for their bodies to harden .
I mean sure you can point to Payne haAs and Andrew Fifita as teenagers who ripped in straight away , but they’re literally 1 prop every 10 years or so .
even lifting around 25 takes a huge jump for most guys .
You go from benching 100kg to suddenly overnight being able to bench 120/130. Same for deadlifts and squats , the 3 pillars of strength building .
