@tiger5150 Brooks not going to Newcastle he was absolutely adamant despite media saying Newcastle was a done deal.
He got Pele wrong. In regards to Ramien he mentioned that before the media got into it so we will see.
@todd-packer it is about the price you can get Brooks for that is the issue, 800k is ok but 1 million say is not. At 750k or so Brooks Signing for a few years is a good deal.

Of course. Your not going to pay overs for Luke. But he becomes a big priority if Moses declines. So the point I'm making is, if news breaks Luke has re-signed, I don't think that is any indicaction the Moses is coming.
On Ramien, he would be a terrible signing. Can't pass, has a bad attitude, is over paid and gives penalties away.
Lol I can’t believe people are arguing over what we should pay brooks if Moses declines and we haven’t seen brooks play this year….
it’s not about him being worth $800 or $700 or $600… if he fails again this year behind this forward pack he’s worth nothing to the tigers … we’d be better starting fresh with someone else … even if that person costs us more than brooks and with less experience…
10 years of failure is about 5 years too long.
And for what it’s worth someone in the club - very senior told me that the longer the moses thing plays out the less confident we are bc we upped our offer and if he hasn’t accepted it yet the only conclusion is he’s looking for third party deals or squeezing the eels for more . Hope it’s wrong
@todd-packer You are right about Ramien he also scores try’s something our centres don’t seem able to do
@tigermate if you find a player better than Brooks sure, but don't want to start with a rookie

This is how I feel about it too.

So nothing?
Brooks not going to Newcastle is something that didnt happen. Your "player agent" has not tipped you into anything that did happen yet?
@tiger5150 the media and everyone had him heading to Newcastle he called it as not happening but whatever mate

Brooks said himself he was looking to leave Jedi. Actually quoted last week.
@jedi-tiger your logic makes perfect sense in a rational environment but if Brooks doesn’t fire this year - he’s stale at the club. You can’t put a tangible finger on that because whilst yes he may be better than someone else we can pick up, better skills, faster etc… sometimes a fresh start is needed. You can have a guy who’s a 8/10 but if he’s stale, lost confidence, etc a pollster who’s say a 6/10 and new could perform better.
After 10 years of no finals - if he can’t show massive improvement this year and flatlines we have to get rid of him.
Same goes for Pascoe - no finals - doesn’t matter what he does - some people just are winners. Could be the club, environment, whatever … but we are results driven … you can dissect the player or managers , competence, skills, passion, commitment etc but if they don’t perform after 10 years it’s time for a new start.
@avocadoontoast never to Newcastle though
@tigermate Brooks played well under Cleary not great under Potter and Taylor and as for Madge well most players regressed under him apart from Doueihi when he moved from fullback to 6.
I think with an attack minded coach in Sheens he should have an ok 2023 behind this pack, when we get Moses in 2024 his game will improve further
Jedi tiger . your consistent . Hope springs eternal. Either you’re a part of the team trying to keep intensity to push his price up at parra, or most likely , you’re a genuine tiger who is about to be severely disappointed .
Happy to be wrong .
Tigers should be targeting some of this st Helen’s team . Better value , top class players but with something to prove, leaving cap space spare to keep these kids coming through. Watching sg ball today there’s a few future million dollar players right tjere, would hate not to have cap space to keep them when the time comes.
Moses team has over done it . Last week I was excited by the prospect, this weeK I hope tigers make the decision to move on
