evening boys, excuse my ignorance, with the top 30 complete now, can that young prop from Newcastle we bought about a month ago, i think he is on a train and trial contract, when can he play first grade and what are the rules behind that, i get a bit confused with the rules regarding train and trial contracts. He seems to have some good raps on him

It was round 11 last year that player outside the top 30 could play NRL. I think we will see announcements closer to the season regarding this issue when the impact of covid on the season will be a bit clearer. It could be possible that those players will be available for selection earlier in the season if the NRL are worried about teams struggling to field sides etc.
