Someone asked The Mole on Twitter who Moses was going to sign with, he said “Tigers”.
Tony Adams is extremely tight with Sheens. I'd take this as Sheens being confident in getting Moses.

@russtutty63 I reckon souths are a front rower short and Melbourne pack not as good as previous years
Not sold on cronulla's pack or Bulldogs pack overall I think TPJ is a poor man's Papali and kind of a myth
We have the pack to be top 8 easy, the backs not so but the forwards will give us the space they need.
I think we can finish 7th or 8th in 2023
I have been told by a semi reliable source that Moses will be at the Tigers in 2024. Take it with a grain of salt but I am fairly confident he is coming.

I'm getting excited, which makes me nervous
Top 8 2023

I have that worry too, but maybe we have turned the corner.

@jedi-tiger In terms of front rowers we are hoping Stef and Fonua Pole step up and reach the potential we think they have. They both look to have bright futures but other clubs would believe that they have these kind of players as well. I would think the Bunnies see Suluka-Fifita and, to some extent, Hame Sele as young guys who could step up and provide impact in the middle. I'm a fan of Sele, I guess he's a Fonua Pole type although he's probably shown a little more at the present time. Burgess and Tatola have done a good job for them the last few years and will probably do so again, Liam Knight is handy with his offloads and work rate off the bench. It's a great back row with Murray (a gem), Koloamatangi and Arrow. In Thompson and Pele the Dogs match Klemmer and Stef (Stef probably has the edge but wouldn't surprise to see Pele do just as well) Joffa is better than Sutton imo, TPJ is better than Pole at present, Kikau or Papalii?, Bateman over Davey, Faitala-Mariner over Blore at present. Welch, Nelson, Harry Grant would make our top 17 easily, Eliesa Katoa is their Stefano, Kamikamica is strong, Loiero is a bit of a young gun and Sims will do a job. They all have better strike out wide. My point is these teams all have good packs, as good as ours imo, but all have better strike out wide yet we're thinking we'll make the 8. If we use 26 players or less I think we're a great chance to make it but use more than that and then you're counting on x-factor to win some tight games you wont win without x-factor. I think those teams have more of that than we do.

Sheens did say that Bateman was the domino he needed to fall…I would take that as Moses has asked us to add some more class to the forwards and we’ve really ticked those boxes.

@russtutty63 I think you hit the nail on the head with the 26 players theory. Most of the teams have a solid 13-17, so it’s injuries and X factor that will make or break them. sheens alluded to this in his wwos interview, so I hope there is a change to our training and conditioning this preseason to avoid last years carnage.
What I like about us is that outside the half and fullback, we have good depth with experience and young uns. Even with centre and winger, the quality might not be rep standard but there’s enough cover if we lose a few to injury. If we add Moses I think we also add an X factor, which just leaves us skinny at fullback. If Staines doesn’t fire and Laurie breaks himself, we are left with toa, AD or nofo to fill the gap which doesn’t excite me.

The club was told that the forward pack needed to be improved, its interesting that a number of the forwards we signed are Isaac Moses clients.

Including “the domino” Bateman

@skippa13 I think our backline is pretty much average, no opposition will be looking at us and thinking “we’ve got to stop so and so” or “He can turn the match with one play.” There are guys who can play pretty well but doubt any of the outside backs would get more than $400, 000 a year elsewhere, they might but wouldn’t be much more. Doueihi & Brooks might get around the $600,000 or so but that’s it. As for depth, a few can fill in and do a job, the young blokes? We’ll, who knows really. But Sheensy has made some average backs look good in the past when surrounding them with a good spine & forward pack.
