I read that the knights have 650k under their cap. Any suggestion of shipping Brooks off should include the club he is going to paying full freight and a transfer fee

Letting him go can not even be considered with our lack of halves.

If they’re willing to pay full freight we’d mad not to let him go.

According to the articles they don't even have enough left in their cap to pay his full freight and I doubt that they would cover it if they did. Even then I cannot go into the season with a Madden/ Hastings pairing that is one injury away from being a Madden/ Peachy pairing. Honestly that would be making a joke of the competition.

I don't think that there is any point letting players go unless you have better options available or lined up. AT this stage I don't think that we do.

We let Brooks go without a decent replacement and I reckon you might start receiving wooden spoons in the mail as early as April

Suspect we might hear a bit more on the player movement front on the last few days of this month.

Dont' player salaries get paid on the 1st of each month?

I believe that’s correct.

From Reading the Play on Twitter:

“Keep hearing Brooks to Knights still happening (and been so for many weeks). Be happy to bet deal done by mid January, just need to agree on the final numbers.”

It’s the story that just won’t go away.

Be interesting to see what happens. I believe it will be best for all if he goes.

Just don’t know what to do about the Brooks situation I’m in two minds. On the one hand I think it whould be better for both parties for him to go, but as others have said it would be madness to let him go in 22 without a suitable replacement

but on the other hand do we want a player at the club who doesn’t want to be there look at his last game oh just what to do. I think that Laurie can be better in the halves than fullback

I can’t see 2022 being a good year, with or without Brooks. Newcastle are the ones agitating so I don’t see why we’d be chipping in anything given Sheens wants him to stay. If we can get rid of that contract we should jump at it imo.

I was hoping we would see confirmation of Stefano's extension. I hope the club does not mess that up.

Sick of seeing the club recruit fringe first graders and young players only to be unable to hold on to those that show some ability.
