@celtic_tiger he was told he wouldn't be playing 7 and Sheens wanted him to play 13 what are you talking about. He spat the dummy and went to play 7 at another club.
Good luck to him but we are stronger with addition of klemmer and Bateman in 2023
@avocadoontoast we finally have a forward pack that can and will rival the top teams
From the Pom
It is now, was never intended to be, but Hastings wants to be a half & saw no future here for that.
I believe he’ll be used as 2nd row, other signings may determine that
Sounds a bit like Hastings through the toys out of the cot when he wasn't seen by Sheens as the 7
Hastings wasn’t offered any kind of contract by the club.
How does that equate to throwing the toys out the pram.
What do you do if you see him as a 13 and he doesn't want to play 13?
I don’t see him as a 13, I see him as a 7.
He’s the best 7 at the club in my opinion and better than any other 7 we have a realistic chance of signing.
When you interviewed him for the Ambush event he came across as having all the qualities you need in a leader and the qualities we will need if we are to turn the club around.
I appreciate that the club sees things differently but I think they are making a mistake a huge mistake, again.
who do we get next Woods or Nathan brown ?

I think he is a 7 if you partner him with an extremely dangerous 6, I don't think either of our options for 6 next year are dangerous enough, which is why I would play him at 13 next year.

3 year deal for Klemmer.
Nathan Brown is still in the works but feel now Bateman is done Matamua will top the spot for Brown in the squad
Again from Pom
Don’t see a spot being used for Woods.
@jedi-tiger Moses is not signing for us in a million years.
Why on earth would he strap himself to this bin fire.
why not? 4 x premiership winning coach and excellent pack to play behind. I think we’re in the best position we’ve been in for years.
Because the four time premiership winning coach hasn’t been successful as a club coach in over a decade and appointed himself to the job after we failed to appoint out first choice coach and no one else wanted the job.
Marquee players will only sign for us in my opinion when we prove ourselves to be a serious professional sporting organisation and at the moment we are a million miles from this.
Sending your best half back off to Newcastle while handing the keys to the team to a known failure is not helping in achieving that.
@eastiemagpie I think he will be here in 24.
I don’t see him winning us a premiership but will be over the moon if proven wrong.

I can't say that I am not disappointed, I though Hastings had a lot to offer the club but if he doesn't want to fit into the club's plans then I don't really see much option.

agree to disagree. I think Sheens has made some great moves. Hastings is no loss.
