Anyone think Laurie or Staines will be at the club 2024 or will another club pick them up? Is there any chance those two and Hastings, Doueihi & Brooks could be picked up by other clubs for 2024?
I reckon Staines is a greater chance of being here than Laurie, unless Laurie gets a shot at 5/8 and excels. I now think Hastings is most likely to depart and that’s unfortunate. Surely Doueihi doesn’t fit Sheens ball as well?

As for douhie not sure but don't think he fits Sheens style of ball playing
we are going to move on a hell of a lot of players in 2024 you would think

@helmesy Yes, agree with all that. I’d say they’re all receiving offers from rival clubs so it makes the next month or so very interesting. Kind of messy when you think about it.

It’s turbulent for the club and team, we need to have our halves settled asap imo.

Ridiculous idea but typical Sheens.
The quotes from the SMH article last Sunday make his intentions pretty clear.
He’s hoping to bring back Moses to play alongside Brooks.
We need to move on from that whole era.
Hastings is too good to let go.

@helmesy I just can’t see them letting Hastings go in 2023. For 2024 absolutely, but 2023 we need someone who can organise a game and he’s the only player we’ve got with that ability. I’d prefer him at 7, but as long as he’s in the 13 that’s the main thing.
AD/Brooks are expendable for 2023, Hastings isn’t unless we get an organising half somewhere.

@mickb think 2023 douhie and Brooks are here to stay as we don't really have anything else nor do we have any team bashing the door down for AD services in 2023
The two in demand are Brooks and Hastings and potentially Hastings may go in 2024 anyway (so may brooks) but Hastings at 13 can be covered by Joffa etc if we get klemmer
