TIGER TANTRUMS OVER SHEENS COMMENTS

Tim Sheens is putting noses out of joint at the Wests Tigers among the playing group.

His very public recent comments around recruitment – first Cameron Munster and now Mitchell Moses – being offered multimillion-dollar deals is hardly encouraging for current halves Luke Brooks, Adam Doueihi and Jackson Hastings.

All three are off contract at the end of next year and can talk to rival clubs from next week.

You can understand why they would be miffed. One or all of them won’t be here in 2024, maybe even earlier.

@mike I get it but we ran last, all three of them  don't really have the right to be annoyed.

I reckon 2024 one will be told if he stays he will be a 13 the other if he stays he will be a centre and the other he will be a 7 with a big pay cut

More the point of how would rothfield know how any of them are feeling he  is in u.k  maybe AD is around but Hastings and Brooks are not.

We won the spoon. If they’re annoyed they can go elsewhere. Who cares.

It is certainly looking that way, so be it.

Exactly, we have to give Sheens and Marshall the players they want and that can play the way they want us to.

It’s unbelievable. Brooks and AD would be lucky to make any team based on last years form, and Hastings is no superstar. If they are playing hardball or unhappy they can walk.

Whoah...whoa......whoa....everyone hold up. Even by Rothfields standards that is a very dodgy statement/article. Unless there is more said than copied here, Rothfield doesnt even really reference players let alone quote them. it is merely his opinion that it would be "hardly encouraging". For all we know the three of them may have the self awareness to consider that we ran last and were rubbish and its fair enough and Ill fight for a spot.

Any of the threes opinion about Sheens talking up interest in Moses or Munster means nothing compared to the fact that it is 29/10 and either a) Tigers havent offered a decent Contract to the 3, or b) None of the three have accepted an offer from the Tigers.

The fact that Sheens is talking up Moses & Munster is a symptom of either a) or b) and the players would know this.

Just another example of made up stories from rothfield and read and Hooper. I mean rothfiekd is the bloke that has changed Brooks salary 4 times in the last 12 months

This article doesn't even quote anyone from wests tigers just an opinion piece.

So Phil are we expecting an article Wednesday that because Hastings hasn't signed with the Tigers he is off to the Bulldogs?

Or Phil, Brooks was spotted at Merewether golf course Saturday so he must be up at Newcastle buying a house ?

I think you are right, however, if the article is wrong and we do in fact value 1,2 or 3 of the players mentioned the club would be absolutely ropable.

I know this is not likely or feasible but if you were to get rid of in 2023 Hastings Brooks and Douhie that is likely 2 million free in the cap.

A spine in 2024 of

9. Api

7. Moses (1 million)

6. Burton (900k)

1. Laurie / Staines ??
