There are still many varibles at this point in time, it is still a rumour, a rumour that started with Buzz Rothfield.
I still think we would be stronger with him than without him next year if he isn't replaced. I do agree that I am happy for him to go but I would like to see a half brought in for next year at least.

The Pom said the other day that his management had told the Tigers he'd be signing with Newcastle in 2024. Laurie slots into the halves, Staines goes to fullback. I think we're better off with that combo anyway
at present his manager has likely requested a move to Newcastle in 2024
No different that rheed mahoney or papali announcing 2021 they were leaving Parramatta they played out contract in 2022.
if Sheens doesn't see Hastings as a 7 then he may tell Brooks you play 2023 with tigers like any other player that leaves a club.
I think Sheens still has some say in this situation yet and he is a Brooks fan

The Pom also said that some at the club think this is a ploy to get an extension offered. Sometimes people only read or remember the part that excites them. :p

@garry from the second hand family info I know, he was very excited to be coached by Sheens so I guess things change if Newcastle have put a good offer to him for 2024
@garry are those at the club the same ones who thought Mitchell, JAC, Ciraldo were in the bag? Their ability to read a situation is about the same as my 4 year old lol

Hastings goes to 7 and Newcastle pay a big chunk of their cap on a very average halfback. Letting him go to Newcastle helps us more than it does them..
