So, potentially…

  1. Laurie
  2. Nofa
  3. Kepaoa
  4. To’a
  5. Maumalo
  6. Doueihi
  7. Brooks
  8. Klemmer
  9. Korisau
  10. Ofahengue
  11. Papalli’i
  12. Bateman
  13. Hastings
  14. Utoikamanu
  15. Pole
  16. Twal
  17. (utility)?

That’s potentially a semi-final side.

Sorry to be that guy, but with the announcement that we have 29 spots full, it is just as likely (or more likely) that this is our team for next year....

1. Laurie

2. Nofa

3, Kepaoa

4. Naden

5. Ken M

6 AD

7 Brooks

8. Stef

9. Api

10. Joffa

11. Papali'i

12. Blore

13. Hastings

14 Twal

15 Pole

16 Matamua

17 Nu Brown

That is a solid bottom 4 side unfortunately.

I’d have Rua in instead of Brown.

From the Pom

Backs up what I heard regarding Nu Brown

Tommy Talau will be in the top 30.
Nu Brown was offered a fair 2 year deal to stay but wanted more, Club will not budge on the offer & expect him to leave.
Henry O'Kane was sitting on the fence last I heard, offer still on the table, believe he will stay.
As mentioned previously Albert Kelly has been spoken to about training with the club in the offseason, only other confirmed T&T at the moment is Brandon Mansfield.

If O’Kane has an offer in front of him, I’m thinking it’s a Magpies contract.

I don't think either of those are what we will see.

@snake still wonder if Douhie to 1 and Laurie to 6

I will lose my mind if I ever see AD in the 1 again.

When Lebanese halfback Mitchell Moses was asked about representing a region that has been through so much torment and anguish, he told reporters he is not there to dwell on Parramatta and is looking forward to playing for the Cedars.

Hastings is a real concern. We would just be dumb enough (or should I say pig headed enough) to let him go.

Yes his a very confident kid that that’s for sure, cannot wait to see him improve under the coaching of Farah and absorb what ever he can from Api.

Depends what he’s asking for. If he’s asking marquee money he can go imo. He’s good but no superstar.

What superstar are we signing instead??

Munster, Latrell?

Hastings will drive culture and keep players accountable (ask nofa)

In my opinion, He gets us from where we are to 7-9th - where we can then sign a superstar to give top 4

Top 8 2023

How much is too much? What’s the max you’d pay for him?

He is the best player, in regards to footy smarts, we have. Hastings and then daylight, and we won’t be signing anyone better in the short to medium term either. Pay him what he wants, at least then there will be some brains on the field.

Not if we are paying Hastings marquee money. Thats the whole point with regards Brooks, AD & Hastings IMO. Right now, they are important because they are the ONLY semi creative and attacking weapons we have available for the spine. We need to sign them for their market value to the rest of the clubs and not inflated rates because their importance to us is temporarily inflated. In 12- 18 months we need to be in the market for actual elite talent to get us into the 8 and stay there. These guys are not going to do it and and if we are wed to them on big bucks, that is an anchor we will not be able to shrug off.

IMO they can "pay him what he wants" on a 1 year extension. If he wants 3 years, they we pay him what WE want.
