I agree that we should have a real crack at Koloamatangi. Having said that if Both Hunt and Pole can pull their fingers out and with May, Sione, Twal, Bunty and potentially Roberts (who I see as a middle) and perhaps Kit becoming that damaging Leniu style player than we may not really need anyone.

Yes, plenty of “ifs” there. I just get the feeling they’ve looked at what’s available this season & decided better to wait until Nov’ to have a crack at a middle hence short term deals for a couple of guys. And I think Richo knows that one top class middle who could start with Terrell might just give us the opportunity to take that step towards top 4. I might be nowhere near the mark but we’ll see over the next month or so.I agree that we should have a real crack at Koloamatangi. ‘If’s’ ‘But’s’ ‘Maybe’s’ ‘Hope’s’ surround this club. Never a solid base, never stability, just here making up the numbers. I would say if's, buts and maybes are pretty much what define an NRL season. If they behave, if they perform, if they dont get injured. Maybe we have 5 players out for origin, maybe we get a crap draw, maybe a player decided to leave mid season, maybe we lose half our spine, maybe that new guy gets busted for dealing coke, maybe he sleeps with a teammates wife. All clubs go through this, most are affected by it, some have enough depth to cover, so it may impact them a bit less...the players, coaches and stars need to align to win a premiership.‘If’s’ ‘But’s’ ‘Maybe’s’ ‘Hope’s’ surround this club. I don’t disagree with that. And there’s always those circumstances which are out of our control. I guess the thing is to mitigate that as much as you can. Good leadership, attitude & character, the right people at your club is probably the first step.I would say if's, buts and maybes are pretty much what define an NRL season. What are we doing….
The Eels are looking to add a second former Storm star to their roster for 2026, with the club reportedly interested in hulking prop Nelson Asofa-Solomona.
Just days after Parramatta picked up Jonah Pezet, it has been revealed by Code Sports that Asofa-Solomona could follow the halfback to Kellyville.
Asofa-Solomona and the Storm came to a mutual decision to let the prop be released from his contract two years early.

Not discussing Bula... But come November 1st next week, off contract list who can negotiate includes (according to nine article):
Bunty Afoa, Heath Mason, Jack Bird, Jahream Bula, Jarome Luai (PO), Luke Laulilii, Sione Fainu, Solomone Saukuru, Tony Sukkar, Tristan Hope, Mavrik Geyer.
Excluding Bula and Luai, the only one I'm concerned about and want to wrap up is Sione.
Is the list accurate?

Samoa are a fantastic team and Luai looks great in that squad. Surely we can leverage that into recruitment and if it doesn’t work out with Benji then Gardiner would be a good candidate for coach

They all seemed to know their job and Luai's decision making was very good. Plenty of talent but there must have been some coaching stuff going on there as well.
