Doubt Hastings would ever dog a game. So not anywhere near the bucket of those three.
Hastings left Salford, an underdog club where he was worshipped, for Wigan the top team.
So don't rest on your laurels he won't necessarily stay bc love of the club.
But no way will he throw games or leave his contract early

I could definately see him running out the clock until November and then signing away for 2024. At which point his position is untenable. Should really just let him leave and play madden at 7 if that happens

tbh with the exception of AD, Stef, Laurie and the new guys next year I’d be happy for everyone to leave. They’re all terrible.

Burton is the real deal. If we manage to jag Ciraldo then will be a real chance I think. The fact that he hasn’t extended at the Bulldogs despite it being a big priority for Gus shows he’s waiting to see who the coach is at bulldogs. I’m not sure I could handle another year of brooks at 7 though. We’ve seen brooks/douhie halves pairing at it was not good. Hastings/douhie might be ok but it would be a pretty slow combination.
Musgrove is another that isn’t going to make it. Too inconsistent and lazy in defence with not enough impact. Ken Mamaolo has much bigger impact running the football than either of our current props. A shame Musgrove has a contract until 2024

@tigertownsfs I would even be happy with a Madden Burton halves pairing and lose Brooks and douhie.
Not a big Madden fan but Burton is real quality and the money we save with a Madden vs Brooks we can put into a centre or fullback
In relation to Douhie I am not sold on him as a 6 and I don't think he makes a fullback, maybe a centre at a punch but I think he needs to be lock or nothing
