David Riccio reporting that the Dragons are making a play for Doueihi.

The Daily Telegraph is reporting that Doueihi has been tabled a two-year contract from the St George Illawarra Dragons for the 2026 and 2027 seasons.
could be just be BS from his manager and the telegraph.
I heard he is saying he will stay if tigers match the 2 years.
He is a good utility. I’d be fine to sign him on utility money but I think he has underperformed at lock. Also not sure whether he has enough impact at 14 or whether he just mucks up our halves. Given API’s age I think 14 needs to be able to play hooker for 15min and then cover some halves or backline which doesn’t really sound like Douhie. For the tigers he is more of a NSW cup 6 outside Madden which is not ideal.

What I want to see if a clear strategy of how we want to play and to see recruitment to execute that plan, not necessarily just build the gameplan around the current squad. This means if you want to play a certain style you look to recruit players into NSW cup that can play in the same system and do the equivalent role. I don’t like it when we change the gameplan completely as we shuffle players in and out. That’s what I don’t quite get for Madden. Is he intended for the top 17 or is he 7 in cup? How does he play and does that suit the system we want to play?
Seyfarth out/KPP in significantly improves our team in 2026. What other upgrades are on offer? Bird out? Hunt out ?
