Toa is an infuriating player, you know his best puts him in the top 10 centres in the game, however he only plays at his best 20% of a season. He is also in the perfect age window and should be hitting some consistent form now that he has the experience under his belt. If you can sign him for $300 - $400 maybe you keep him, however based on what he has actually delivered (not potential) over the last few years his real value is probably close to $200k. If there is a clear reason his form has dropped off i.e. injury, and it can be addressed at the end of the season than maybe you take a punt...otherwise 20% output in our team just will not work.

there is going to be 2 new teams in super league in 2026. Just announced overnight.

There's more potential for shake ups to the NRL player talent pool with this news. Hopefully WT can move a few players on.

But, with new NRL teams coming we have to find replacements.

Surely he’s busted and holding spot for Makasini??

Toa looks injured to me but that has been the story of his career, he doesn’t appear very durable. With May coming into the picture centre could be a position where we just rely on the junior depth to fill NSW cup rather than invest in Toa. I really think Toa could go to Newcastle. Maybe we look at Gagai Toa swap

@joel he could be busted, however if so why not play Luke L or Mapapalangi?

The Canberra Raiders have granted young duo Trey Mooney and Chevy Stewart permission to talk with rival clubs immediately. Hope Richo is on to this.

Agree that Toa is infuriating given the inconsistency. I suspect he's playing injured at the moment, but that's no real excuse. If you're putting your hand up to play, you need to perform.

But zero interest in Gagai as a replacement. Will be 35 by rd 1 next year. Even as a place holder for Makasini, we need to do better.

Agree regarding Gagai, but luckily he will be re-signing with Knights anyway

I trust everyone is keeping well.

I wanted to get your thoughts on Big Nelson. Heard Melbourne via Triple M wouldn't be too bothered to lose him. We need more mongrel and size in the front row plus much needed physicality.

He's contacted to 2027 with a mutual opinion in 2028.

Offer to pay 75% of his 800-900k deal to close.

Cheers guys 👍

I would take both, solid back up players looking for first grade.

Thoughts on Beau Fermor ? I know we are getting KPP but we lack depth in the back row. I watch him up close at our last LO and he is a very solid/difficult to tackle player.

Definitely worth a look! I would sign him then have Samuela in the middle.

The issue will be that apparently Beau is sick of being in a team that doesn't perform.
