I would love to see Luke at fullback and Heath to remain in the squad at 14.

I think it’s either Luke or Turuva.

I agree. We have seen what Heath offers at fullback and it’s not first grade standard. I would rather see what Luke offers and if it’s quality then we can keep him at 1 in NSW cup to develop. Similarly, if Heath drops back he should be dropping back into 6 so that we can start to develop proper depth

I know ‘Naden’ is a divisive player, but is there any support for him as a ‘14’ or even fullback backup

tall

Solid speed

On field talk is ok

can jump/catch as well as most of our fullback replacements

the brain snaps are the issue

desperate times calls for left field options

@tigertragic56 I would love to say yes, as i think he is a great team man and person, however we have given him more than enough chances to make a difference in first grade and come up with nothing.

Nah, we need better. Hate to say it as I really hoped he would make a go of things here.

@helmesy I’m only thinking for this year or whilst Bula is out. Not many viable choices as they all have their challenges

I’m not confident in Mason either

Bula injuring himself on the last play of the game is something that could only happen to us. And we don’t have too many tall outside backs to assist Mason under the bombs. Ah well if a non professional supporter like me can see Manly’s game plan then I hope the coaches can see it too.

Speaking of that do we remember when Douhie used to put up those monumental bombs. Two can play at that game!

Welcome! Yes, what happened to the Doueihi bombs? Maybe because of his knee issues?

@helmesy Good call. Probably that. It’s certainly an option other teams use.

Reports TDS could be going to Parra.

I get the logic of keeping Api, but surely losing a resource we’ve developed has to be worth something to us other than a roster spot?

The club also needs to realize that this situation has the fan base somewhat worked up too.

I don't get why he is being let go. He wants to play 80 mins and not be stuck behind Api, fine. But why does that mean an immediate release? Wouldn't that mean that he negotiates in November for when his contract with us ends?
