I actually think both TDs and Latu should be 2 years off from 80min games. Both under contract and both only 19. Why do the Tigers always have to play kids when most teams have experienced halves? I don’t understand the cultural problem we have where we can be paying a kid 400k a year on potential why they throw a fit when they don’t get into an NRL starting 17. We as a club are at a huge disadvantage trying to win games with kids learning the game in first grade because they refuse to do their time in Cup or Flegg. And then when they do get to NRL standard they jump to a “bigger club”. It’s crazy. We should be going all in for DCe on a 2 year deal and he can get us winning games whilst we develop the kids around the squad. If we were actually able to manage that we could win for the next 2 years with Api, Luai and DcE and then sub in TDS and Latu as they mature and get added to a winning squad with winning combinations.
@tigertownsfs To much common sense for this time of the morning! The club needs to establish itself first and foremost or the Galvin issue will be a recurring problem , the Tigers will be the perennial starter club for others to poach from .. the NRL should protect development clubs to an extent but that’s not going to happen .

That could be why Richo is looking as a few more outside players to join.
Every outside player he brought in this year has been great but just need a few more.
Bears coming in 2027 not ideal for WT trying to pick up any players on Nov 1. We might be stuck with the Taylan May/KPP type signings for 2026.

I would also argue that , Ice, tupou, Bateman & klemmer are either worse or the same as when they were with us. Could it be that Benji can actually develop and get the best out of players? Are any current 1st grade tigers players regressing under Benji? @jedi-tiger I think the club has already made its decision about TDS ..they will not tolerate another episode that has transpired with Galvin ,they will offer him a good contract and that will be it . There is a good kid coming through the lower grades that they maybe see as a better option for the future,API has a few good seasons yet and this would end when the younger guy would be ready ! Plus these Hope who is a pretty good player . TDS wants to be careful he is nowhere near an eighty minute player he leaves that’s what is going to be expected . To be frank if he doesn’t want to be here well off you go pal especially after all the crap of the last week! I predict he will not be here next season the team is not going to be destabilised again with the supporters and stake holders suffering this can not happen again and Moses is his manager !
