Had a feeling this would happen. However, since we now have Adults running the show, I like the front foot approach of the Club ,ie, we haven't made an even bigger offer to him, nor are we reclining in the foetal position and we have Latu as a ready made replacement in seven weeks time. Lachie can help win the Knock On Cup for us this year and next.

Man, Galvin, what do you say...
I'm pissed at him and his management, but I'm proud that our club has dug in. It's different to when Tedesco and co pissed off, Richo knows what he's doing and will not be held ransom. The club did the right thing to make the best offer it saw fit early on, and put to bed speculation going forward.
Now we need to get Latu sorted at 7, galvin can go to 13.
As long as Luai stays committed. If that blows up, I'll just have to change sports or something.
In Richo we trust....

We have Galvin, Latu and Luai for another 18 months. Latu and Luai beyond that. We are not going to be signing another big name half with those guys on the books until the end of next year.

We have Sullivan coming back next year, plus the likes of Matai et al developing in the jr grades. Decent back up.

I get that Latu had had injuries, but he's still very young and they've been unrelated knocks for the most part.

We are still in a strong position through the spine, let's use the cash elsewhere.

Outside looking in a lot this has been Galvins family moving things around to make sure “their lachie” gets the best. Why else would you sign up to that parasite Moses. Bula I am less worried about, he seems to have a pretty level head and seems happier and more enjoys the club

Latu was always the better option in the halves anyway. Good call by Richo to come out and make the statement and not be pulled into the BS ploy by his snake of an agent.

The sad part is that it’s been stated that the tigers offer wasn’t even given consideration by Moses/galvin

obviously there is a landing spot already agreed elsewhere despite nothing able to happen until November

Might not rate the coach would be another reason not to consider

@jedi-tiger This makes the out of the blue DCE move more apparent  ….. I agree Moses has big connections at Manly and it makes sense , or been sold by Gould !

Well done Richo in bringing this issue to a head ,unfortunately as I predicted the Galvin clan have been caught up in the hype that has been over the top by the media ,his manager and a certain CEO in the media . Have seen many Galvins before and most if not all have fallen short .This kid is fit enthusiastic and has talent also is slow to slow to make a great half and realistically has limited strings in his bow and defence will always be a problem .IMO the club has dodged a bullet just the attitude is bad enough …I feel for Benji gave the kid a start and treated like crap by himself and his parents pretty low act Imo ,as the saying goes what goes around comes around .At least its a done deal and the club can move on as there is a true  half already at the club .

Well it’s a bit disappointing but I’m glad we ripped the Band-Aid off and can now move on and plan for the future. We are not stuck in an endless loop of will be or won’t he.

WT faithful podcast rumour is Richo is going to make a play for DCE in a win now type of approach

a spine of

1. bula

6. Luai

7. DCE

9. Api

that spine makes top 4 and can give premiership a big shake

The coming weeks will be interesting to see how Benji handles this. I wonder if he "rests" Galvin this week "as its been a draining week for such a young kid", needs some time to get his head right etc...Play AD at 6, if he brains it against a hapless Eels you can probably keep him in there for a few more games and hope Latu is that much closer to coming back before AD shits the bed. It will all depend on how AD plays on the weekend...it may be embarrassing for the Galvin clan if he comes out and gets our attack humming with Luai. Galvin and Luai just seem very disjointed tbh, Galvin seems to always be presenting himself to Luai and calling for the pass, not giving him any space or shape...almost negates his impact. He did the same with Latu in that game they played together in the trials, Latu was much better when Galvin was replaced by AD.
