to clarify Kenty did not say he as going to the Eels, i just suggested Eels as kenty in the past had mail with them and they have dylan brown money to spend
For all we know it could be dogs roosters newcastle (if they lose ponga" who knows
think we could do with an out and out 7 anyway. Wonder if there is a world where they let Galvin walk and move behind the scenes to lock down a dedicated controlling halfback.
At this stage Luia, Galvin and Latu all probably better suited to 6. And they all prefer to play left side ideally so a right sided quality 7 with a good kicking game could take us forward another step. Let whoever remains play a running ad lib 6 role.
i think Galvin or Latu could also both develop into a fantastic ball playing 13 if they wanted to embrace that, too.
The other big piece of the puzzle is Luia’s contract where he can walk after 2 years. Maybe we need to pin down an understanding of his commitment so we better know how the others would fit into our medium term plans.
The Kenty podcast, he came out and said he had heard from someone high up at tigers that Galvin is gone and will not be signing with us.
Kenty used to have strong mail with Parramatta so he possibly ends up there replacing brown
Might be what happens, especially with the Moses links.
If so, what a low act after the Eels punted him and we’ve given him every chance to develop and establish himself.
a bit disappointing if kenty is correct, being a Moses client i thought thst would happen otherwise why wouldn't he signs an upgrade contract. Moses and Galvin together at the Eels will be a pretty good halves pairing
I would then be concerned about bula and his contract next
I think TDS is rock solid pretty sure he stays a tiger
A bit weird as the noise a while ago was all about him moving to a team that could compete for a title. If he signs with the team that is currently bottom of the table then it was only ever about the money or it’s just Isaac Moses f*ckery.
Must be a doozy of a deal as the Tigers ability to upgrade Galvin’s salary this year and next gives them such a head start on what Galvin could earn over the next 4 years.
Tigers have done nothing wrong at all by Galvin and his team and it would really be a slap in the face. I’d say put a deadline on his decision (maybe round 12) and if he doesn’t sign get Latu in to the halves ASAP and play Galvin as the 13 or utility moving forward. But make him stick out his full contract with no upgrade.
a parramatta spine of
7. Moses
6. Galvin
1. Iongi
is on par with
7. Luai
6. Fainu
1. Bula

Gents, it's Kenty. Who cares what his "mail" is.
Problem is our potential Galvin replacement in Latu Fainu is the Brett Papworth of halves always injured
100% agree. Kenty has to build up some sort of following so why not come out with this albeit say it comes from another source, takes blame off him when doesn’t turn out that way. I’ve thought all along it’d be a no brainer to extend with the Tigers & that’s what I expect. Richo knows what to do & he’ll do it.Gents, it's Kenty. Who cares what his "mail" is.
In regards to Lachie the next few weeks might have a part to play in what he decides. He wants to win games & he could wait until the end of the season to see how the Tigers go. But it’s unfair on him & the club to wait that long to make a decision. Perhaps winning the next 2 games & going 4 from 7 might help, who knows. But he has a coach who has a great opinion of him, who wants to help him develop & who understands what he’s going through. He lives in the MacArthur region. There would be 3rd party contracts easily arranged for such a young talent who many kids would idolise out that way. He has a great halves partner who also understands what he’s going through & who is a winner. He has mates at the club. The Tigers are also a year or two ahead in their rebuild compared to Eels. They are a club on the improve. And an extension of a couple of years or so would still see him only 23 or 24 years old come his next deal.

What upgraded contract?
In memory of Geoff Chisholm (1965-2022)
The Cowboys have apparently asked if we’d be interested in letting Api go.
We said “no”.

Very odd suggestion. Perhaps they thought we would trade him for a back rower. Api needs to stay with this squad until we are a top 8 team. He is honestly one of the most important Tigers players in our history. Right up there with Benji and Robbie, not for what he has don’t on the field but for coming to this club and laying the foundations for this rebuild. I have so much respect for him and I would love him to be here when we taste some success
Maybe they were hoping we’d take Bateman back.. 😂😂😂😂😂😂The Cowboys have apparently asked if we’d be interested in letting Api go.

About Galvin don’t expect him to re-sign with the tigers, just don’t get your hopes up that he might stay, I think he’ll go somewhere else

Im Optimistic, if we get wins and are seen to be rising as a club.
We have good Leaders and Management now
We have good Players coming through
We will be competitive in his salary
What do people think of Grant Anderson at the Storm? Every time he’s come into the team there he seems to do a good job. Not sure what’s his best position but appears adept at centre & wing. Comes from a great system, seems a great professional & at 25 is probably about to play his best footy. Storm also have a few others they’ll need to upgrade to keep them after this year.
