Staines can't replace Skelton, he wasn't named yesterday.It’s been a little quiet of late in terms of Justin Olam & Taylan May. It wouldn’t shock to hear something over the next week or so. There’s also been nothing said regarding Charlie Staines who is missing from the team lists this week. Maybe he’s training with the NRL in the likelihood Jeral pulls out but it wouldn’t shock either if he was picked up by another club in the near future. If the club wants May, should Olam be medically retired, then freeing up another spot & a little more money might make it easier to upgrade Lachie and/or TDS and maybe promote Faataape or Porter to the top 30. Would still leave Naden, Luke Laulilii & maybe Toa as the back ups to Doueihi(?) & May. And Charlie would surely pick up a gig somewhere. Anyway, something is cooking behind the scenes so we’ll see.

I still think there is room in our 17 for a strike centre. Watching farnworth and lomax the past few weeks shows how valuable that can be. Our current centres are probably sufficient as an alternate starting/backup centre but a genuine strike centre will be something we haven’t seen since lawrence

That’s true. I just meant that it would be a bit odd having him in a photo shoot if there was a genuine chance of an impending exit.
Given that Faatape has got the jump on him this week, other options might be worth looking at for Charlie 😂

Now that is settled, I expect to see some moves made in terms of upgrades/signings/extensions.
