Charges dropped against Taylan May
dont know how to feel about this, hopefully it was because he is innocent...anyway welcome to the Tigers...start warming up!Charges dropped against Taylan May
We are desperate for quality in the centres. Would welcome Taylan but it will be interesting to see how his fitness etc is placed and how long until he is match ready.
Fingers crossed 🤞 we get another May!

The Wests Tigers are ready to explore the prospect of signing Taylan May - and linking him with his brother Terrell - after the former Penrith star was given the green light to return to the NRL by ARL Commission chair Peter V’landys.
May missed the bulk of last season after being charged with domestic violence offences but the charges were withdrawn on Monday morning by police, meaning the no-fault stand-down rulewas no longer in effect.
May is now free to return to the NRL and his manager Ahmad Merhi confirmed he was hopeful that he could tie up a deal for the 23-year-old within days.
The Tigers are at the front of the queue given they have space in their salary cap and his brother Terrell on their roster.
As well as his brother, May played at Penrith with Tigers recruits Jarome Luai and Sunia Turuva. Merhi said May was relieved that the charges had been withdrawn and was now intent on reviving his career.

Looking positive

He looks a bit leaner than he did last time he played...I know he has kept training and staying fit so hopefully he is contributing in first grade sooner rather than later....assuming we are the ones that sign him.
with brown to newcastle that frees up parramatta to have a goodd go at galvin as a 6 partner ring with Isaac Moses nephew Mitch, and Galvin's junior club...
I would say we are buckleys of getting him past 2026

He stays if we are winning and the money is on par.
His mates are here and he will be a Club immortal.

It’s 50/50 I reckon. I can see him staying, equally I can see him having a sook and going to the land of the sooks (aka Parra), or being the golden boy at Bondi Junction.

@helmesy I really don’t care about Galvin , my prediction is he is going to be found out in the not to distant future , the guy is not fast or agile enough to play in the halves and his defence is average . I hope the club does not get caught in the hype or competing with other clubs , if there is a long term deal it’s second row or lock money IMO as that’s where he is heading !
@helmesy Just what is needed but the bigger picture for mine is how long will it last !

We need to make sure we do the right thing by Latu Fainu as he continues to develop.

Zero Tackle story on Latu Fainu:
"He's a gun," teammate Jarome Luai said.
"He's going to be a really good player and he's going to have a big career in the NRL.
"I think they're both [Lachlan Galvin and Latu Fainu] the same age or around about that but they're two different players.
"They've got their own strengths, and they're going to be scary playmakers for the future ahead."
