Terrell May signs three-year deal with Wests Tigers

The Wests Tigers have agreed to terms on a three-year deal with prop forward Terrell May after he was granted an immediate release from the Sydney Roosters.
The Tigers have edged out St George Illawarra for May’s services on a lucrative deal that will see him remain at the joint venture club until at least the end of 2027.

May informed St George Illawarra coach Shane Flanagan of his decision on Monday morning.
The news is a significant boost for the Wests Tigers, who have been looking for a frontrower during the past few months.
Part of the appeal of linking with the Wests Tigers was reuniting with the likes of Jarome Luai and Sunia Turuva

Great stuff, much needed early present for us. Luai contract starting to pay off already.
If we are to sign Terrell “the terror” May then I don’t think we’ll see anymore signings unless a few leave the club. If we were to sign one more I’d love Frizell but obviously would depend greatly on Bateman going & a few other matters falling our way. The experience he’d bring would be so helpful to Benji & the young back rowers coming through & the guy seems to stay extremely fit. If you’re Lachie or Samuela just seeing guys like Luai, Api, Frizell, Bird, Turuva, Olam etc in the dressing shed before u run out would fill you with confidence, not that they’re short of it. But at training it would help so much in raising standards & dealing with tough times as well.

Good point however Knights will have to upgrade etc. If they keep Thompson it might help matters. As for Bateman I think his most likely destination is Souths but they’d be in the process of locking up a few forwards now so mightn’t know what the budget or need looks like just yet.
