Correct. I doubt Bateman is going to be any better than what we’ve seen already. He’s over 30 now and his best years are clearly well behind him.

for me it's about balancing the value vs the cost, if we are kicking in 300k+ each yr for the next 2 yrs, all other things being equal and him and benji can bury the hatchet than I would rather he stays as he still has something to offer. Losing so much and being surrounded by players that seem indifferent to it would drive anyone crazy, he is a passionate bloke our problem was it came out in a negative way.
